Test Log: 331-01
Date: 18-11-2003
Researchers: Doctor J. Fitzpatrick and Researcher H. Collins
Containment: As containment procedures are considered unknown at this time, testing is for now in a 10x12x10 m Alpha testing chamber designated as T:015-081/4 with RPC-331 in the center. Soundproof panels were added into the test chamber as to negate any effects that RPC-331 may cause while testing.
Procedure: Ten CSD Personnel are to be placed inside the containment of RPC-331. All subjects were picked randomly and brought in by two security guards.
Results: At around 3 meters from RPC-331, four CSD personnel acted according to effects caused by RPC-331, where subjects soon went into RPC-331 and became instances of RPC-331-1. Each instance used a separate instrument that produced the same melody without fail with RPC-331 initiating movement. While this occurs Doctor Fitzpatrick also behaves as though effected by RPC-331, causing Researcher Collins to cancel testing and for the ASF personnel to remove the RPC-331-1 instances. After some struggle firearms were used and all affected subjects were terminated and removed from RPC-331.
Closing Statement: Testing on RPC-331 has been altered to now have a polygraph test and a background check mandatory for any potential interaction with a musical instrument. The room for RPC-331 will be designed accordingly to the procedures shown and officially designated as an Alpha-Orange anomaly.
Notes: Doctor J████████ Fitzpatrick was informed that he cannot participate in testing on RPC-331 for his safety. He was soon relocated to [DATA EXPUNGED]. It's a shame that he won't work with me anymore, but I hope he enjoys working on [Redacted]. -Researcher H██████ Collins

Containment: RPC-331's containment has been finalized and contained in floor Alpha-010 with the room designated as 015-331. Containment is a 10x12x10 m concrete-enforced room lined with Specialty Composite foam connected with heat-proof adhesive. On the south side of containment is an 8x8x3.5 m steel door also fitted with Specialty Composite foam. In each corner of the room are four HD controllable cameras all connected to the researcher's room. Outside containment on the northern side is a 2.5x3x4 m research room fitted with average Authority equipment and a 300-cm monitor.
Procedure: Testing is initiated to discover the minimum reach of RPC-331 to affect subjects. Five CSD Personnel (CSD-0091, SCD-1209, CSD-2221, and CSD-4901) with musical experience are to be contained inside 015-331. Three ASF security guards are to be present at all times with a sedative dart gun to incapacitate the instances and a firearm if required.
Results: Four CSD Personnel moved towards RPC-331 at different points in time. After the fourth instance of RPC-331-1, the object begins to move, prompting the three security guards to move in and incapacitate all RPC-331-1 instances with no difficulty.
Closing Statements: No problems occurred after testing and all CSD Personnel affected by RPC-331 were quickly evaluated with no subsequent side-effects. After two weeks of evaluation, all affected personnel was cleared and brought back into the CSD program.
Notes: While the anesthetic did take effect, the RPC-331-1 instances still interacted with the instruments even after unconsciousness, opening up a hypothesis that instances are not conscious at any time while playing said instruments. But strangely enough, they also seem to not attack at this state. I wonder if it may also be connected to brain activity and it is more about the electrical current and not about the complete body control. -Doctor S████ Rosenberg

Containment: No major changes are added to RPC-331's containment.
Procedure: CSD-7817 and CSD-8018 is to move into RPC-331's containment connected to an Electroencephalography (EEG) devise. One ASF officer will follow both subjects into containment and be equipped with a sedative dart gun and a firearm which is now mandatory for all testing of RPC-331.
Results: CSD-7817, CSD-8018, and Officer ███████ move into containment, both CSD-7817 and CSD-8018 are ordered to move into the range of RPC-331, with some hesitation from CSD-7817. As both subjects move slowly towards RPC-331, the subjects stop around 4 meters before showing effects resulting from RPC-331. Soon CSD-7817 and CSD-8018 move into RPC-331 and become instances of RPC-331-1. After several minutes of allowing the instance to persist, Doctor Rosenberg orders Officer ███████ to incapacitate one subject and fire upon the other subject, with the shot specifically into the head, followed by a quick shot into CSD-7817's chest with the sedative and a quick shot to the head of CSD-8018. A minute later CSD-7817 is confirmed incapacitated, while CSD-8018 was deceased since fired upon. CSD-7817 continues to play its instrument, however, CSD-8018 never moves after the shot to the head, and its instrument dematerializes. Officer ███████ is then notified to resecure the subject and easily removes CSD-7817 out of RPC-331 with CSD-8018's body removed minutes later.
The EEG brain activity of CSD-7817 once affected by RPC-331.
Closing Statements: Throughout the procedure brain activity from CSD-7817 and CSD-8018 is viewed showing signs of stress. Once in the affected range of RPC-331, both subjects are shown to be calm, with no problematic effects occurring throughout the time inside RPC-331. When CSD-7817 is incapacitated, activity was shown to decelerate and be viewed as a state of unconsciousness, however, brain function was still prominent in reflexes and movement. CSD-8018, however, was dead once shot in the cranium, with no other functions present, providing evidence that RPC-331 controls brain function rather than the entire body itself.
Notes: While this procedure has given more information on how RPC-331 potentially works, one major concern that both Doctor Rosenberg and I noticed is that the effect of RPC-331 grew an entire meter after the last test. Neither of us knows when this occurred, but we are worried that RPC-331 may be growing its effects as we speak. I will make sure to report this to Director Hines and test to see if there might be a way to mitigate its effect any further. -Researcher H██████ Collins

Containment: No major changes are added to RPC-331's containment.
Procedure: Multiple objects will be used to consider the usefulness in mitigating RPC-331's effects. four security guards will be on duty at all times viewing the progress of each subject, with force used if needed with the appropriate equipment. Each subject will move into RPC-331's containment one after another, making sure every CSD personnel is brought in and out only once.

Closing Statements: Overall no fatalities had occured throughout the test. Only affected subjects were sedated and brought into site-015's infirmary with no lasting effects discovered upon testing. All items found, with some being questionable in nature, will be useful in the containment and mitigation of the effects caused by RPC-331.
Update: On 20-12-2003 CSD-0743 was found deceased caused by asphyxiation from hanging. On a note found inside its room, it stated:
"That song, that beautiful song, I wanted to hear it one last time, but I was told I cannot. It is a shame, not being able to hear that melody, being unable to play the music I hold so dear. If the Authority won't give me what I want, then I shall take it with my own hands.
I am sorry ██████ but I must bid you farewell. I know I wasn't a great husband, but please, enjoy your life, and find that music you hold so dear.
No effects are considered the cause of CSD-0743's death, however, counseling is considered if any problems persist due to RPC-331.

Containment: No major changes are added to RPC-331's containment, however, due to the containment breach of RPC-███ and the [DATA EXPUNGED], all researchers who have a history in any form of music are prohibited from entering floor Alpha-010 on the basis that a containment breach may occur.
Procedure: After the re-containment of RPC-███ reports came in that researcher's on Alpha-010 were acting in a strange manner, with most moving towards the containment of RPC-331 15-20 meters from the object's containment. This expressed worry from site personnel and testing on the effects' range was quickly introduced.
CSD-0892 is tasked with moving towards RPC-331 20 meters on floor Alpha-010 with one ASF security officer carrying the mandatory equipment. Communications will be held with a one-way radio held by Officer Paul Ruben and with Doctor Rosenberg and Researcher Collins using the communications system in the researchers' room.
Results: As both CSD-0892 and Officer Ruben begin to move, Officer Ruben stares at the subject to see any oddities in its behavior. As a meter is soon covered, CSD-0892 stops in its tracks, being reported by Officer Ruben as "Trance-like" and soon, the subject begins moving again. No other information is given as Officer Ruben continues to watch CSD-0892, moving slowly towards RPC-331's containment until at the door of containment room 015-331. CSD-0982 soon starts to move its hand, pressing the buttons on the keypad, trying to open the door. Officer Ruben speaks on the radio with surprise, unsure of what to do at that time. Doctor Rosenberg soon asks Officer Ruben to open the door and proceed with the test, followed by the opening of the door with his keycard and password. CSD-0892 then moves into RPC-331's containment, moving into RPC-331 and becoming an instance of RPC-331-1. As both Doctor Rosenberg and Researcher Collins speak to Officer Ruben about the situation, the instance soon moves out of RPC-331, bewildering all three personnel. The instance with the instrument (1 wooden flute) moves towards Officer Ruben, prompting him to shoot the sedative into the instance. As Researcher Collins tries to call more ASF operatives, the instance begins to attack Officer Ruben with the instrument, striking the officer in the head and chest. Testing was soon terminated.
Closing Statements: 30 seconds after the attack several other ASF operatives moved into the containment area and fired upon CSD-0892, killing it instantly. Officer Ruben was soon rushed to Site-015's infirmary where Officer Ruben was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
Testing on RPC-331 is halted until further notice by Director Daniel Hines, with the death of Officer Ruben as a clear case that RPC-331 is far dangerous than first believed.
Notes: I've seen a lot, but seeing a man die with a musical instrument is not one of them. I feel I am responsible for his death, I told Paul that he needs to try and keep CSD-0892 alive, and look what that got us, a dead security officer. I think I need to take a vacation. A long vacation. -Researcher H██████ Collins
