Registered Phenomena Code: XXXX

Object Class: Alpha-White

Hazard Types: Bio-Hazard, Contact Hazard

Containment Protocols: RPC-XXXX must be kept locked inside a standard secure container located within the Alpha-level containment wing in Site-016. Authority agents are currently tasked with with locating and intercepting additional samples of RPC-XXXX, with priority given to any incident of civilian use. As there is no variation in the anomalous properties among RPC-XXXX instances, no further testing is needed and any additional instances recovered may be destroyed.

An inventory of ██ samples is currently kept for the purposes of further chemical and biological analysis and may be replenished as needed with any intercepted ones.

Description: RPC-XXXX is a bottle of mouthwash with a 300 ml. volume labeled "Amazing! Co. Superbest Teethwasher!", containing the specified solution, henceforth designated as RPC-XXXX-1. The label comes with the following statement:

Ever get so fatigued over cleaning your tooths? Always wanted to stop giving away money for more brushes and more toothpastes? Stop getting tired and conned with Amazing! Co. Superbest Teethwasher! Use the teethwash and never once worry about the teeth again, while saving your money!

The mouthwash itself presents no discernible physical differences from those of other brands available. However, upon further chemical and microscopic inspection, RPC-XXXX-1 also contains several previously unknown biological and bio-chemical compounds along with unidentified microorganisms bearing similarities in composition to hormones, stem cells, proteins, and bacteriophages.

RPC-XXXX-1's properties manifest after use. Over the following 72 hours, the user's teeth will endure a process of severe morphological modification, with the onset of said process being a significant pain in the entire mouth area.

Time Elapsed Mutations
24 hours The root of the teeth begin growing in density and engorging, eventually fusing with the bone tissue of the skull. A series of boils also begin to appear and grow on the surface of the gums. Additional nerve tissue and minor blood vessels also begin to develop.
48 hours Continous muscle spasms of the jaw manifest along with the appearance of cracks and other forms of damage to the crown section of the teeth. As the teeth break, compounded with the unintended impacts made by the spasmodic muscle movements and the developing nerve tissue, the pain felt at this stage is described as extremely excrutiating, with subjects becoming severely distressed. Administration of morphine and similar painkillers proves ineffective.
72 hours Effects begin to subside with mouth movement stabilizing and pain gradually lessening. Additional mutations manifest in further changes to teeth crowns. They are now vertically bisected, with an enamel coat that leaves them sharp and serrated. Some of the boils have healed while others further developed into small orifices in close proximity to the teeth. Along with the additional blood vessels and nerve tissue becoming fully developed, the gums now allow flexible movement of the crowns.

The process proves to be non-fatal and irreversible, with no additional complications arising. Attempting to ingest food now prompts a response from the nervous system, with a series of reflexes moving the teeth in a manner similar to a shredder, meaning that subjects no longer need to chew their food. Care needs to be taken with the tongue, however, as these movements can cause injuries.

After feeding, the orifices near the teeth begin ejecting a solution similar to mouthwash. While the composition bears none of the anomalous compounds found in RPC-XXXX-1, it still performs the same function as standard mouthwash. The added flexibility of the crowns eases the cleaning process, forgoing the need for brushing and other conventional forms of dental hygiene. This ejection process also eliminates obstructions caused by food remains.

Addendum XXXX-1: To avoid straining Authority resources, particularly in regards to the control of civilian use incidents, embedded agents within dental faculties and similar organisations have released carefully crafted research reports indicating that the side-effects of RPC-XXXX-1 are instead being caused by an "extremely rare and recently discovered" series of genetic defects or mutations. The fact that incidents of civilian use are rare have aided this effort.

Interception of RPC-XXXX samples remain a priority to avoid the rate of such incidents from rising.
