Extremist Virus

Item #: RPC-XXXX

Object Class: Gamma

Containment Protocols: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]

Description: RPC-XXX is a memetic virus that amplifies opinions. It is unknown where or when RPC-XXX originated, or how it is transmitted, but it appears to be spreading at an alarming rate in the United States and the Russian Federation. RPC-XXX is non-fatal, and the only known effect it has on its host is that it causes the subject to progressively grow more extreme in one or more opinions. In most cases, unpopular fringe and/or taboo views develop due to the infection. Sufferers of RPC-XXX are more prone to join far-left and far-right groups, and commit violent crime in support of the affected idea. Subjects in advanced stages of RPC-XXX often reject material goods and services associated with an idea that conflicts with their point of view, including, but not limited to:

  • Imported goods
  • Animal products
  • Businesses owned by people the subject disagrees with
  • Products endorsed by people the subject disagrees with
  • Television shows
  • Money
  • Medical products
  • Medical services
