Intro: (School bell ringing) Jimin and Yumin are talking to each other while walking back home. As they walk through an empty alleyway, they encounter a mysterious kid wearing a red scarf and blue cap. Yumin waves at him but he doesn't respond. The mysterious kid approaches Jimin and Yumin slowly.
Mysterious Kid: You guys must be Jimin and Yumin!
(The background darkens.)
Mysterious Kid: Follow me, I have something cool to show you!
Yumin: Okay!
(Jimin grabs Yumin's arm.)
Jimin: Yumin, you idiot. Don’t do that…
Yumin: Eh?
Jimin: You can't just follow strangers like that. (Hits Yumin’s head lightly) That’s how you get kidnapped.
(Yumin glances at the Mysterious Kid, then at Jimin.)
Yumin: How can he kidnap us? He looks about our age.
Jimin: I don't know. There's just… something suspicious about him.
Mysterious Kid: Aaah isn’t that a bit mean? I'm just a normal kid.
Jimin: That's what a monster disguised as a kid would say.
Yumin: Eh?
Mysterious Kid: (Fake laughter) No, that’s impossible…
Jimin: Then… Hmmm… Take off your scarf!
Mysterious Kid: What?
Yumin: Eh?
Jimin: That's right! Take off your scarf, then we’ll hang out.
Yumin: Jimin, you're being weird.
Mysterious kid: Nevermind I’ll just leave. See you guys late-
(Jimin forcefully takes off the mysterious kid’s scarf revealing him to be an Aigeomi [Spider-child].)
Jimin: Hah! See Yumin? He's a monster! I told you so! I told you so!
(Yumin freezes in fear while Jimin continues to mock Yumin.)
Jimin: You should've seen your face! You were all like-
(Jimin looks at the Aigeomi and then freezes in fear.)
Mysterious kid: Kekeke~ I was gonna take you both to my nest, but I guess I'll have to eat you both right here, right now.
(Yumin and Jimin slowly back away from the Aigeomi, then start running while the Aigeomi chases after them. At the end of the alleyway, they meet a KCAP agent patrolling the streets.)
KCAP Agent: Are you kiddies alright? What are you two running from?
(Speaking together)
Yumin: There's a- there's a uh there are- right there, there was-
Jimin: Right there, right there, there's a spider and uh- there's a-
KCAP Agent: One by one. What were you kids running from?
(Speaking together)
Yumin: No you don't understand, we were running from a uh, it was a spider-kid—
Jimin: He looked like a kid but was a spider. He was right there- uh there right there-
KCAP Agent: I said one by one.
Yumin: (Unintelligible stuttering)
KCAP Agent: Uhuh.
Jimin: (Unintelligible mumbling)
KCAP Agent: Alright, I think I understand the situation. So you two were asked to follow a spider monster disguised as a kid wearing a bright red scarf and a blue cap.
(Together)
Yumin: Mhm! mhm!
Jimin: Yes! Yes!
KCAP Agent: Alright then, I'll keep a watch out for him. In the meantime, you three be careful.
Yumin: O-okay.
Jimin: We will.
Mysterious Kid: Thank you, sir!
(Jimin and Yumin freeze in fear and slowly turn to the Aigeomi.)
(Cut to title intro)
(Intro)
Jimin: Hey Yumin! What do you think about spiders?
Yumin: They’re creeepy. They have so many eyes and so many legs, I heard that some species can kill you with just a bite. I don’t like them!
Jimin: What if I told you there is an entire species of giant spiders that look just like us.
Yumin: Eh?
Jimin: And they eat children!
Yumin: Ehh!
(Cut to the episode's topic.)
Jimin: Did you hear, did you hear? There’s an entire nest of giant Aigeomi disguised as children all over the world. Hiding, sneaking behind you, waiting for the chance to attack!
Yumin: (Shuddering) That’s too scary, how do you avoid them?
(The mysterious kid appears, waving.)
Jimin: (Grabs Yumin's hand) If you see a suspicious kid all alone, please be cautious, especially if they ask to be your friend.
Yumin: But how do I distinguish an Aigeomi from a normal kid?
Jimin: Aigeomis will always try to hide their neck and wear long pants and sleeves to hide their spindly legs. Offer them a mint and if they refuse, run towards an adult immediately. Because as we all know, spiders hate mints and lemons.
(Jimin offers the mysterious kid a lemon and he declines, moving away.)
Yumin: I didn't know spiders hate mints and lemons.
Jimin: Now you know!
(Cut to Yumin and Jimin walking around a crowded area.)
Jimin: If you're in a public place, quickly find a safe and crowded area. Aigeomis usually avoid attention, so being around other people can discourage them from approaching.
Yumin: So, blending in with a crowd can help keep us safe.
Jimin: Yes, exactly. Also, remember to keep a safe distance and avoid direct eye contact with the suspicious child. Aigeomis have a keen sense of observation and may see it as a challenge or threat.
Yumin: I'll make sure to be vigilant and not engage with them.
Jimin: That's the spirit, Yumin. Additionally, if you suspect someone might be an Aigeomi, discreetly inform a trusted adult or authority figure. They can assess the situation and take appropriate action.
Yumin: It's crucial to rely on responsible adults who can handle the situation properly.
Jimin: Absolutely. And if you ever feel in immediate danger or encounter an Aigeomi in an isolated area, don't hesitate to call the KCAP emergency hotline. They're available 24/7 to provide assistance and guidance.
(The KCAP administration phone number appears on the screen.)
Jimin: For your and your family's personal safety, please don't contact any agency outside of the country such as PCAAO or the RPC Authority.
Yumin: Why not?
Jimin: Agencies from other countries will capture Aigeomis just like the KCAP, but would they save us as well?
Yumin: Why wouldn’t they?
Jimin: Eh Yuminie, it’s not their job to help us. An officer’s job is to capture monsters first and help people after. You wouldn’t want a hero that beats up the bad guy before freeing you from a train track right?
(Yumin imagines herself being tied up to a train track and watching Jimin chase after a villain before saving her.)
Yumin: That would be bad.
Jimin: The KCAP’s job is to protect people first, unlike the PCAAO or RPC Authority. (Whispering) Did you know did you know, there was a rumor that there was once a boy who disappeared after the RPC Authority found him in an Aigeomi nest?
Yumin: Really?
Jimin: Yes, the RPC burnt all of his school papers, his books, photos, and everything else so even his parents forgot he existed! Not just that, there was this one time a girl from China was [REDACTED] because the PCAAO couldn't do anything about it.
(Yumin is distressed.)
Jimin: They are not good people. It's important to rely on trustworthy organizations like the KCAP, which prioritize people's safety above all else. Unlike a certain someone watching us right now.
(Brief silence.)
Yumin: What?
Jimin: What?
Yumin: Jimin, wh are you talking about?
Jimin: Hehe~ nevermind.
(Cut to interview)
(Interview intro)
(Yumin and Jimin run toward an old man.)
Yumin: Hello mister, can I ask you a question?
Interviewed-1: Oh, sure!
Yumin: Are you afraid of spiders?
Interviewed-1: Spiders, yes? An old mister like me isn't scared of spiders anymore.
Yumin: But what if the spider is huge?
Interviewed-1: That depends. How huge exactly? If it's small enough for a good (hits air) wack! It's no trouble for me.
Jimin: Wow, he's cool.
Yumin: They're about as tall as me, and they have human faces too.
Interviewed-1: … I'll simply run away!
(Cuts to the next interview.)
(Jimin walks towards a high school student.)
Jimin: Are you afraid of spiders?
Interviewed-2: Absolutely. I hate them.
Jimin: What would you do if there were giant spiders that disguise themselves as humans to gain their trust and eventually eat them?
Interviewed-2: … What?
Jimin: That'd be scary, wouldn't it?
Interviewed-2: I guess.
Yumin: Wouldn't you want to avoid them then?
Interviewed-2: Yeah?
(Yumin offers the high school student a mint lemon.)
Yumin: Take this then, and give it to people you suspect might be an Aigeomi.
Interviewed-2: Thanks?
Jimin: Another life saved!
(Outro)
Notes: This episode is a lot more aggressive towards Eastern and Global agencies than the rest before it. What interests me most of all is Jimin's rant about the PCAAO and the Authority. This tangent doesn't appear in the original broadcast in Seoul, and seems to be targeting our network specifically.
