Containment Protocols: RPC-███ is contained at Site-031-1 within a standard humanoid containment cell, refurbished with basic amenities. RPC-███ is granted limited roaming privileges under the supervision of at least one ASF officer. During which, RPC-███ is prohibited from extending its hair, which must remain styled in tightly bounded arrangements to prevent accidental contractions.

RPC-███ is to be quickly returned to its containment cell in the case RPC-███ enters its "nesting" phase, at which point no attempts of interaction are to be made.

Description: RPC-XXX is an anthropomorphic entity resembling a human female¹ in its early 20s. Subject has a standing height of 158 cm,² pale skin, grey eyes, and 95 cm long hair. RPC-XXX can manipulate each individual strand of hair in its head, employing them as prehensile appendages. It is also able to modify their density to 7,000 - 8000 kg/m³. As a result of this, RPC-XXX can also manipulate other living creatures by inserting hair into their skin pores using high-density hair bundles to manipulate their muscles. Diverse tests on the follicular structure revealed its hair possesses a keratin index of approximately 93.6%, which is comparable to that of the African crested porcupine³, as a result of this keratine index RPC-XXX has denmostrated a capacity to harden its hair structure voluntarily; to avoid the overload of motor stimuli, the entity's body developed systemic analgesia⁴ as a defense mechanism.

RPC-XXX family 1948

RPC-███ displays a cold but overall cordial and cooperative demeanor. During acute dissociative episodes or periods of severe psychological distress, RPC-XXX’s hair exhibits a reflexive "nesting" behavior. The filaments will autonomously and tightly wrap around the instance’s torso and head, forming a dense defensive barrier. During this state, the entity is non-responsive to external stimuli.

RPC-XXX deliberately suppressed the utilization and development of its anomalous traits during its 80 year civilian tenure, maintaining employment as an educator in isolated sectors strictly for economic subsistence. Discovery: RPC-XXX was found on 3/02/2018 in the village of Linderos in the municipality of Caquetá, Colombia, after Authority front companies flagged a series of identical teaching credentials spanning over seven decades with the same picture in rural Colombia. The instance was found in a house. At the arrival, the instance was found making the annual curriculum planning for the local primary school. RPC-XXX expressed confusion but offered no aggression or resistance of any kind during the extraction.

RPC-XXX: My name is Aura Gomez Osorio, but just Aura is fine. I was born on March 29th of 1912 and I'm from Colombia.

RPC-XXX: Yes, I’m aware I do not look my age.

Dr. ██████: Alright, when did your abilities first manifest?

RPC-XXX: When I was in my 20s, the only thing I can still recall is that it happened before my 25th birthday.

Dr. ██████: Could you elaborate?

RPC-XXX: My abilities manifested in my 20s. One of the few things I can recall from those times was that I went to sleep one night like every other night; there was nothing strange. In the morning, I was….like this, that was all.

Dr. ██████: How did you manage to go unnoticed for over 70 years?

RPC-XXX: I worked as a multi-subject teacher, but mainly taught English for the better part of 90 years. I taught primary and for a time preparatory levels.

Dr. ██████: Do you find your abilities useful, or are they a burden?

RPC-XXX: They are just…there. it isn’t scary or awesome, it’s more like having an extra limb I was forced to hide for more than fifty years. I didn't ask for this, but I cannot change it either. You eventually stop asking why and simply focus on moving forward. It's the only way to maintain your sanity after seeing everyone in your life growing old and dying.

Dr. ██████: Still, it’s hard to believe you went unnoticed for so long.

RPC-XXX: I worked as an English teacher in Colombia. There is what's called "teacher competitions". I signed up to these competitions usually picking what they called "red zones", where armed conflicts happen. No one bats an eye at new hires doing this job. We blend in behind the jungle and occasional distant gunfire, far from the government if not civilization in general. Afterall, why would they go near that? And for what it's worth, the salary bonus was good. I signed up for a new position every 2 to 3 years. In those places, no one cares about "the young teacher", and the government never paid enough attention. They didn’t care. They just needed someone to do the hard work. They never searched because I never gave them a reason to.

Dr. ██████: What about the armed presence in those places? They usually recruit civilians.

RPC-XXX: When you spend decades in places where the state doesn't look, it is easy to become invisible, stay for enough time and then just leave and avoid selecting the same place. I just wanted to be normal… I never wanted to hurt anyone.

Dr. ██████: [silence] When Romeo-7 found you, they said you did not show anything else other than confusion and stillness. Why?

RPC-XXX: [pause] I thought it was the ELN⁵. It is not unusual for those kinds of people to enter other people's houses to hide from the military. In those situations the best someone can do is stay still and pray for them to go, or get caught.

January 16st 1922

My Father saved some money to buy me a diary for my birthday yesterday, i hope to repay everything my parents have done for me, it's the least i can do. Even my sisters cooked yesterday, the know i love Changua, and my mother made me a new skirt, she said respectable ladies look presentable all the time, i promised to take good care of it, we went to the curch so i could use it, I recieved compliments from my mother's friends.

February 13th 1922

A few days ago i was helping my father with the potato field, the heat was worse than ever, i had to look for water, it tasted weird, i've been feeling bad since, but we don't have the money for a doctor, and the nearest hospital is 3 days from here in donkey, i'm terrified to make everyone sick, i don't know what to do.

February 18 1922

I had to tell them, my father is with me now, my brothers are taking care of everything. They took me with the town priest first, it didn't work, they had to take me to a hospital, doctors look worried and father looks mad, no one tells me what is going on, and i just feel worse and worse, sometimes my legs hurt and i can not move my fingers.

The doctors are giving me a white powder, it tastes awful, it's bitter, my father said he will write a telegram to my mom to keep her updated, i'm afraid to be defective, my family would send me far to avoid the shame of a sick daughter, i heard my father muthering about me living with my aunts, i'm afraid.

March 3th 1922

Things aren't getting better, i asked my father what was wrong with me, he said the doctors don't know what is wrong with me, and it's worsening, yesterday i couldn't move my left leg, he said a group offered him a procedure to save me, he will sell some of our cows.

I have to repay him somehow, i need to help, i feel so weak and guilty right now, i may have done something wrong, this may be a divine punishment as the town priest told my parents.

March 8th 1922

The Procedure went well, i feel better, yesterday we arrived home, my family is taking care of me, my mother says the scars are in my back, so it's not that bad, my older sister Tránsito put a balm on my scars and told me my sisters Ethel and Inmaculada would do my chores until i get fully recovered. i'm so grateful to be back.

I finally finished my education, i will move out in January, on this past years things haven't gone that well, 3 of my brothers died in the trenches, my sister Ethel flinches everytime someone raises their voice, Dario is far gone and my mother is not fine, she tries to hide it, but i can hear her crying late at night, after all, being over emotional is not something a good woman should be, i'm afraid my father will send both Dario and my mother to a hospital, once it happens people never comes back.

We've been going more often to the curch, the new priest says Dario may be possesed, maybe a demon stole his soul in the trenches, they tied him for the exorcism the other day, he has injuries on his arms and legs. Ethel confided in me how afraid she is to be the next, to have the devil inside, father says we need to have faith that God will cure Dario from evil that afflicts him, but i think God is not going to answer us.

December 11th 1934

I came back home to spend the holydays with my family. This morning my mother woke me up to tell me a representative of Soul Reviving Services was at the door. He was dressed in a black suit with a flower pin on his shirt, and expressed his congratulations for my livelihood. Before we could say anything, he revealed that my illness was magically expunged, and that I will probably will notice changes in a few years once i stoped. He explained that we were owed to know it, that "I was a success". I always assumed there wasn't an aftereffect of the surgery but this is different. Despite all my rage, I couldn't allow my father to put a finger on him. I remember my pain, my father's face, the shame i felt for not being stronger night and having but truly I can't stay angry, because now i lived and thanks to that i can provide for them.

My mother now looks at me like i'm the devil myself, my father hasn't said anything yet but he looks at me like i'm a problem, Ethel says he's mad at himself for allowing the procedure, that it's his fault now i'm tainted by evil, that he, thinking they we're doctors allowed them to use witchcraft in me and now the devil resides in what i am.

My hair finally stopped growing, it's a burden to manage, right now i'm living in Málaga, things are awful here, people has to be home before the sun goes down. My students are something else, some of them really try, they want to have a nice job to help their parents and family, they remind me to myself. This kid on the other side, Gustavo Hernández, he comes from a family with connections, he doesn't try and told me his family has money, i told his parents, now he tries harder, the belt is the only way to teach that kind of child.

RPC-XXX: i was used to help students, make exams, grade papers, planning the annual curriculum. But now, there is a void in its place.

Dr. Bellard: (Leans forward) could you help me understand about this void you feel?

RPC-XXX: A century is a long time to hold a piece of chalk doctor. I'm used to the scratch of fountain pens. The smell of ink. Grading exams, cutting stencils, organizing the curriculum before the rainy season ruins the dirt roads. For more than sixty years, my mind had a purpose. Now, there is only this room and the hum of the lights.

Dr. Bellard: Your psychological evaluation notes a severe level of emotional detachment. You rarely discuss your life before the village Linderos where the Authority found you.

RPC-XXX: Because when you live as long as I have, your memory becomes a graveyard. We were thirteen children, you know. Before the violence came. My sister Ethel went to the front as a nurse. She was the one who sent the telegram when three of my brothers died in the mud.

RPC-XXX: I had to push through it, we were not rich people, there was no time to grieve. I went home to my family on the vacations. My mother was still hacking away on her sewing machine, and my dad passed when i was 30. For years I visited my mother that, on that moment, lived with two cousins, there wasn't anything to do but hold on to that hope i was being useful, my sisters visited when they could, but they had their own lives and families.

Objective: Evaluate the effects of RPC-XXX's filament insertion on a living central nervous system and monitor muscle response.

Dr. Bellard: Thank you, for accepting this interview, i know this has been a hard year for you but i been following your improvement in therapy.

RPC-XXX: Yes, it's been…..rough. I've learned a lot this year, about myself i mean.

Dr. Bellard: Dr. Carmen told me you we're uncooperative on the first sessions, for almost five months at least.

RPC-XXX: Yes….(Silence) when i was younger this "therapy" thing was for the crazy people, the ones that we're born broken, or at least that was what i always heard, that was something to hide, families felt ashamed and our church called it "divine punishment".

Dr. Bellard: I understand, Dr. Carmen says your medication has been working, and you haven't had a disociative episode on two months, how do you feel?

RPC-XXX: Its been…good, i feel better than i have felt in years, its weird in a good way I guess. For the sake of transparency and integrity, I’m directing this message to all personnel: Level 3 Parapsycologyst Carmen Herrera was killed by RPC-███. For the past week, we have been painstakingly reviewing the investigation, semantics and ethics of this incident. The consensus is that during an unofficial test designed to reproduce Experiment-███-066’s results, a fire alarm went off, causing RPC-███ to spasm its filaments connected to Dr. Carmen's nervous system. While physically painless, I assure you that she knew full well the gravity of the situation before losing consciousness.

Dir. of Research Ferdinand Bellard is also to be removed from RPC-XXX's case due to developing a parasocial relationship with the entity, while continuing to view it solely as his teacher rather than a contained entity.

Let this be clear: I do not care about the ethics of humanoid containment, its potential as a utility nor Dr. Bellard’s history with the anomaly; this sets the example. It is precisely this sort of oversight which leads to catastrophes to befall entire sites. Plural. We were simply lucky this once.

RPC-███ is hereby set for transfer to Site-008. On a week’s notice, you will be introduced to your acting Director of Research who will be responsible for overseeing an update to this Phenomenon’s file.

If it weren’t for Dr. Bellard’s significant contributions to Site-031-1, this would have been handled in a completely different light. Do not let his complacency fall on deaf ears. Let this incident be your only warning from overstepping containment procedures.
