Registered Phenomena Code: XXX
Object Class: Gamma - Orange
Hazard Types: Sentient, Aggression, Psychokinetic, Emotional, Mind-Control
Containment Protocols: Due to its nature as an incorporeal phenomenon, RPC-XXX cannot be physically contained. Authority agents embedded in the local law enforcement and mental health institutions of Crenshaw, Virginia are to report any possible targets of RPC-XXX for monitoring. Authority agents are to relocate any affected civilians from Crenshaw unless ordered otherwise. Affected Authority agents are to be immediately removed from Crenshaw, admitted to therapy, and reassigned to a different anomaly.
Description: RPC-XXX is a phenomenon which affects residents of the city of Crenshaw, Virginia. Over a period of time ranging from 2 months to 10 years, RPC-XXX will cause a series of dramatic psychological changes in affected individuals. The following conditions are common in >90% of affected individuals:
- Hallucinations of humanoid entities. Affected individuals often consider these hallucinations friendly, though a few have described them as "demons."
- Severe delusions. The most common delusions in affected individuals are persecutory delusions, erotomania,1 and delusions of grandeur.
- Heightened irritability and aggression, often towards individuals offering help.
- Paraphilias and paraphilic disorders.
- A strong desire to remain in Crenshaw, Virginia.
These traits cause individuals affected by RPC-XXX to exhibit eccentric and often destructive behaviors, which result in their gradual ostracization from society. Affected individuals invariably disappear, often after achieving near-complete social withdrawal. At the time of writing, the criteria by which RPC-XXX targets Crenshaw residents is unknown.
Discovery: RPC-XXX was discovered when the following thread from █████████.net, a website dedicated to documenting eccentric individuals, was reported to the Authority:

As a rule, if the lolcow is from Crenshaw, expect them to disappear without a trace in 2 years.
This thread was reported to the Authority during an ongoing investigation into the unusually high amount of mentally ill and missing persons in the city of Crenshaw, Virginia. In addition, Authority agents embedded in the Crenshaw Police Department noted that all missing persons cases involved Crenshaw residents who exhibited eccentric behavior and/or symptoms of mental illness, with some instances occurring as early as the 1810s. The Authority ran a disinformation campaign to dismiss RPC-XXX as the actions of an unidentified serial killer and current containment procedures were implemented on 10/12/2021.
Addendum XXX-I: Abridged List of Notable Individuals Affected by RPC-XXX
Name: Constantine Wright
Description: Uneducated and illiterate eccentric who wrote and published several books in broken English. Primary sources describe him as arrogant, irritable, and unpleasant. Disappeared September 1812 after the death of his wife. Believed to be the earliest known individual affected by RPC-XXX.
Name: Alyssa Kevorkian
Description: Fringe political activist who expressed delusions of grandeur and was known to make grandiose threats directed at her opposition. Disappeared November 2019 shortly after an interview where she reported hearing voices.
Name: Ian "AzerbaiJohnny" Aliyev
Description: Live streamer known for his unkempt appearance, poor hygiene, and sub-standard living condition. Expressed unique spiritual beliefs influenced by various television shows. Reportedly never left his house. Disappeared sometime between July 2021 and January 2022.
Name: Phillip "FlipChan" Chandler
Description: Internet personality known for his webcomic "Empress Sarah." Notably obsessed with an original character of his named Sarah Sunshine, who he insisted was a real person. Disappeared November 2016 shortly after his arrest for aggravated assault.
Name: Christina "Nivaldi" Neufeld
Description: Cult leader who convinced her followers they were characters from the video game Princess Quest IV in their past lives. Every member of her cult identified as their corresponding characters, but she identified as an original character named "Nivaldi." Disappeared May 2011, after which her cult was disbanded. Over the next two years, every member of her cult disappeared as well.

Addendum XXX-II: Expedition Log XXX-01
Foreword: For approximately 3 years, the Authority had monitored Grant Morrow. On 12/12/2024, he was taken into Authority custody. An Authority agent disguised as a therapist provided Morrow a camera to document his experiences with RPC-XXX.

2:05: Grant Morrow is in the entryway of a dark, dilapidated apartment that appears to have been abandoned for several years.
2:12: So, uh, my therapist, he asked me to take this camera. See, I got a, uh, girlfriend right now and everybody thinks she's not real. So he wants me to…uh, prove…that she's real. And this is the proof.
2:24: Morrow trips over a raised floorboard.
2:31: Oh, uh, sorry about that. But I…She's telling me to come to her house. She's got a surprise. Just look at this place.
2:33: Morrow spends the next few minutes recording the apartment in silence. The walls and floors are covered in several cracks. A centipede crawls through one of the cracks.
4:52: Beautiful place she has. Looks like an Italian villa. I remember, when I met her in Rome,2 we slept in a hotel that looked a lot like this.
5:01: Morrow then enters the kitchen. The sink contains several rusted pots and cracked plates. The fridge is open, revealing an empty interior.
5:12: Look at this. Cornucopia! She really knows what to, uh, what food…She cooks really well.
5:45: Morrow produces a crumpled drawing of a large humanoid holding hands with what appears to be an anthropomorphic animal of indeterminate species.
5:50: I've been meaning to, uh, give this to her. It's a picture of us. See? This is me, and this is her. Giggles. I know she's gonna love this. I just hope it's a good enough "thank you" gift for whatever she's gonna give me.
6:10: Morrow walks down a hallway. The camera briefly pans past a bathroom. There appears to be mold on the floor and the toilet's bowl is broken.
7:01: And now, we're going…to the bedroom. Gonna meet her. Gonna get it on. I-I mean, a-hopefully. You know? A, uh, surely a woman doesn't invite you to her bedroom for nothing. Giggles. Gonna treat her right. Show her a good time.
7:45: Morrow stops and focuses on an empty bedroom. The wallpaper and curtains are ripped. There is a broken mirror on one of the dressers.
7:55: There you are! My love! It's so good t-to see you again! Alright, now I'm gonna put…put down the camera…
8:09: Morrow sets the camera down on a nearby shelf and walks towards the center of the bedroom. An invisible force throws him onto the bed. Morrow gleefully moans. Morrow squirms on the bed, as if being constricted, and then is forced into a fetal position.
9:10: The aforementioned invisible force begins contorting Morrow's body further into the fetal position. Morrow's bones audibly crack. Morrow screams and resists the force. Morrow's spine breaks and the skin on his knees tear open, exposing patellae and femurs. Morrow begins bleeding on the mattress.
10:20: Morrow's calves tear open as well, exposing ripped tendons and fractured tibiae and fibulae. Morrow's spine fractures as his knees push into his chest. Morrow gasps as his ribs are crushed. As the invisible force further contorts Morrow's body, Morrow's femurs begin to impale his chest. Morrow falls onto his side, facing the camera. His tibiae and fibula impale his shoulders and his femurs tear through his gluteal region. Morrow attempts to scream, but the blood in his lungs only allows him to gurgle, the excess of which bubbles out of his mouth.
12:01: Morrow's shoulders are crushed inwards. His head is forced towards his groin. His torso is compressed along the spine. As this is occurring, Morrow's bones continue to tear through his skin, leaving him a mass of fractured bones, torn skin, and ripped muscle tissue.
12:01: Morrow's body continues compressing inwards. Blood violently expels from Morrow's body until it is compressed into a spherical form roughly 23 cm in diameter. Morrow twitches.

Closing Statement: Contrary to the extracted footage, Authority agents noted the absence of Morrow's body and tissue splatter when they retrieved the camera.
