Containment Protocols: RPC-XXX cannot be contained due to its anomalous properties. Nevertheless, restricting knowledge of RPC-XXX and preventing discovery by the general population is considered a high priority. This is achieved through the alteration of published equations that would otherwise yield RPC-XXX as a result, and by disseminating cover stories attributing discrepancies between human and machine calculations to error. Due to the nature of RPC-XXX, the unredacted version of this document is restricted to Level 4 personnel or higher, as well as individuals directly assigned to its research.

RPC-XXX connected to some form of entity designated as RPC-XXX-1. Subjects under the influence of RPC-XXX turn into an anomalous item designated as RPC-XXX-2 instances.
RPC-XXX primarily affects individuals with an estimated neurological maturity equivalent to an avarge 18 year old. Testing with subjects exhibiting delayed brain development indicates that RPC-XXX’s effects manifest only in individuals beyond a specific threshold of neurological maturity and the age of the subject is not factor. Individuals who can't be affacted don't try to avoid instinctively RPC-XXX. In case an individual can be affected by RPC-XXX, individuals miscalculate equations and misinterpret written expressions involving RPC-XXX. Approximately 90% of male subjects perceive RPC-XXX as the number immediately above it, while 90% of female subjects perceive it as the number immediately below. Current theory suggests this may represent an evolved cognitive defense mechanism. RPC-XXX has no effect on non-humans, animals or artificial systems.
Seeing, identifying, or thinking about RPC-XXX only happens if a person is asked repeatedly to do so and hyperfocuses on the task or obsessively searches for it. Seemingly, people who have advanced knowledge of mathematics have a harder time focusing on RPC-XXX, but are affected a greater degree by its anomalous effect. Seeing and identifying RPC-XXX for the first time removes the person's natural defense mechanism against it.
Thinking about RPC-XXX doesn’t trigger any effect, but if spoken in any language, the individual immediately loses the ability to read words. They can still read numbers and symbols connected to the usage of mathematics. The individual also develops an obsessive fascination with RPC-XXX and attempts to understand the number on a deeper level. After a 48-hour period, the person also lost the ability to speak words other than the vocalization of numbers and expressions used in mathematics. After this, the individual, within 24 hours, reaches some kind of revelation that ends this obsessive state and usually can be identified by a fearful scream. The time frame for these events is proportionally shorter the more knowledge of mathematics the person possesses.
After this, the individual seemingly engages in a conversation with an entity designated as RPC-XXX-1. We failed to perceive or quantify RPC-XXX-1 in any way so far at this stage. We theorize that the reason for this is that at this stage RPC-XXX-1 is physically not present and makes itself visible to the individual using only its brain to project itself for the individual. The person under the influence of RPC-XXX uses a language to communicate with this entity, solely using mathematical expressions that we have yet to decipher. Based on body language RPC-XXX-1, after the initial fear, the person became excited and energetic to talk with this entity. After a certain length, the conversation always ends with the same “sentence”. Current theory is that this is some kind of pledge or agreement to something that RPC-XXX-1 asks.
After this, the individual stands still and starts to count down, starting from RPC-XXX. While this is happening, the individual loses its body weight with a proportional percentage of its original body mass compared to the remaining numbers. We currently don't know where these lost body tissues go while the process is ongoing. When the subject reaches zero, nothing but a seemingly randomly selected bone remains after him. The individual under the influence of RPC-XXX is capable of counting down even when it would be physically impossible due to its bodily state. Currently, the only known way to prevent this process after it starts is to seriously damage the brain or regress the individual's mind permanently below a level where RPC-XXX can’t affect the individual. Artificial coma only suspends the process that was resumed where it was left after waking up the individual. This method doesn't work if the person has already started the counting process. Individuals aware of RPC-XXX can’t forget knowledge about it even with the usage of amnestics or any other memory alteration method.
This bone has anomalous effects and is designated as RPC-XXX-2. After the creation of RPC-XXX-2 a small white light appear within 10 seconds. Most likely, this is RPC-XXX-1. This disappears together with RPC-XXX-2 after they make physical contact. While this ball of light can be perceived, it can’t be captured on any media or touched. This ball of light goes through solid matter and, without stopping, moves toward the direction of the newly formed RPC-XXX-2. This movement is steady and exactly 50 cm/second. In case RPC-XXX-1 is picked up by someone and moved away to prevent contact for 59 seconds after the appearance of this ball of light, it will disappear, leaving RPC-XXX-2 behind.
Touching the RPC-XXX-2 gives the individual the ability to quickly make an accurate calculation of probabilities, even if they are not trained in that at the most basic level. The older RPC-XXX-2 is quicker to become the calculation. Individuals touching RPC-XXX-2 can calculate any probability at worst within 10 seconds, but RPC-XXX-2 instances that are older than 1 year old do the same within a fraction of a second. Furthermore, RPC-XXX-2 allows the immediate identification of numerical anomalies and can give an accurate measurement of objects only using the individual ordinary senses. Touching RPC-XXX-2 revealed that RPC-XXX, the light ball that most likely RPC-XXX-1 and people who said RPC-XXX are all counted as numerical anomalies, while RPC-XXX-2 itself is not.
Individuals who lack any basic knowledge of mathematics, such as naming the numbers and knowing how to add or subtract numbers, don't trigger RPC-XXX-2 anomalous effect. Studying the brain activity of individuals who use RPC-XXX-2 shows that the reason for this is that the object makes the calculation together with the individual's brain, increasing brain activity by around 1%. In case the individual has knowledge of the metric system, RPC-XXX-2 gives its measurement only in metric.
RPC-XXX-2 can prove useful in the hands of researchers, security personnel, and field agents. Currently, the Authority owns [REDACTED] amount of RPC-XXX-2 that is given to key personnel who can make the most use of it, evenly divided by the branches.
Discovery: RPC-XXX was discovered after an Authority senior researcher, DR. [REDACTED] stumbled upon it by accident, triggering its effect on herself while trying to find and investigate mathematical anomalies. Before we found out the trigger of RPC-XXX, DR. [REDACTED] also became a victim of its effect.
Addendum: Currently, there is a proposal to use RPC-XXX as an assassination method in certain circumstances and a proposal to use CSD personnel marked for termination to make more instances of RPC-XXX-2 for the use of the Authority. Both of these proposals are pending at the ethics committee after cutting open one of the RPC-XXX-2 instances. This revealed that inside the bone, there is brain tissue instead of bone marrow. When the RPC-XXX-2 instance was cut open, it gave out a high-pitched scream of pain in the voice of the person who was previously RPC-XXX-2. After this RPC-XXX-2 lost all anomalous effects, and the brain tissue started to decompose just like how the brain tissue of a recently deceased individual would.
