Foreword: Dr. Wright McCaig journal entries detailing personal experiences with RPC-462.

01-22-████: "It has come to my attention that RPC-462 is highly aggressive and should be under constant surveillance at all times, no matter the situation. After hearing about the situation, I requested to Site Director Allen Walsh Sullivan that RPC-462 be transferred here at Site-002 as soon as possible. Once my request was granted, RPC-462 arrived at Site-002 with no trouble at all. I later ran a test on what RPC-462 is truly capable of and secluded me, my team, and a few ASF personnel in Sector ██ to run the test. I had RPC-462 placed inside of a steel cube measuring 6x6 meters and had a CCTV camera installed inside the cube. My team and I decided to simulate a blackout, similar to the 462-A Incident1, and had the camera shut off inside the containment cube. Unfortunately, I let my curiosity get the better of me. Within seconds… no… in exactly one second, the cube thrashed violently and the steel cube was shredded to pieces like paper. It almost felt like an explosion of chaos bursting through from within the cube. Before we all knew what had happened, the chaos had ceased. We were fortunate that one of my staff had her eyes on RPC-462’s location the entire time. If we had not kept our sights on RPC-462’s containment cube, we could’ve ended up like those poor souls at Site-███. After we collected our wits, we examined the damage to the steel cube and we realized that RPC-462’s true form is much larger than we anticipated. It was as though once we removed all visual contact with RPC-462 its body expanded and stretched the steel out, and tore open a hole on the east side of the cube trying to escape.
Incredible. A creature that creates a faux form in which makes their prey oblivious of any danger, and when said prey breaks eye contact it attacks… RPC-462 truly is the perfect predator.
Dr. Wright McCaig signing off."

02-03-████: "I regret ever discovering RPC-462’s true form. I have been experiencing hallucinations… or at least they are… of RPC-462’s true form appearing at every corner I turn and will vanish instantly. At night I hear menacing whispers in my head while simultaneously having agonizing migraines. Most words I could not understand, but I could make out a few words. “I can help”, “No more suffering”, and “Let me help end the pain.” I believe the more we know about RPC-462’s true form, the more our psyche plunges into sanity. I suggest Class A-1 - 3 amnestics, depending on the duration of exposure, to any personnel who discovers RPC-462’s true form."

Containment Protocols: After the 462-A Incident at Site-███, RPC-462 is to be contained in a standard containment unit at Site-002. An ASF personnel is to observe RPC-462 within the cell at all times, and are to rotate shifts every 6 hours. Each ASF Personnel is to take a Class A-1 Amnestic at the end of every shift.
In case of a containment breach, personnel are to directly observe RPC-462 as soon as possible. Any personnel who appears hostile, or has suicidal thoughts or actions, must be administered a Class A-1, A-2, or A-3 amnestics depending on the duration of exposure.

Archived Containment Protocols: RPC-462 is free to roam most of Site-███ with the company of one ASF personnel. At all costs, the ASF should not keep their vision off of RPC-462, so it won't be exposed to any danger due to its small, fragile body. Personnel are not permitted to cause any sudden noises, as to not frighten RPC-462. Other than that, the staff has nicknamed RPC-462 as the Most Harmless Thing You'll Ever Meet.

Description: RPC-462 is a spherical entity 0.6 meters in diameter with no weight whatsoever. Its body is covered in a soft fur reminiscent of the species Chinchilla Lanigera2 and has a face similar to a Pomeranian. RPC-462 has no limbs and relies on an unknown propulsion method to travel through the air instead.
The only descriptions of RPC-462 true form are the scratch marks and footprints it leaves behind when unobserved, as well as its vocalization from the 462-A Incident audio file. Researchers estimate that RPC-462’s true form is 12-15 meters in length with a weight of 3 tons.
DNA analysis of RPC-462’s hair reveals no known species. Studies show that RPC-462 is an entirely new species of animal.

Official description of RPC-462’s true form is found in the Action Report.

Action Report: From the testimony of ASF Lt. Ian ██████, he described RPC-462’s true form to be horrifically terrifying beyond reason.
He stated,

”When I clocked in for the shift change, the guy before me kept staring at RPC-462 while standing up from his chair. He then tripped over one of the legs and stumbled to the floor. I caught him just in time, but realized I had to look at RPC-462. I don’t know how, but I was able to see what RPC-462 really looks like. I saw it just for a second at the corner of my eye and when I locked both eyes on it, it was back to its "cute" docile form. I’ll try to describe what its true form looks like as best I can… without throwing up. So, RPC-462’s true form was much bigger than the Researchers anticipated. They estimated that it was 12-15 meters in length, but what I saw looked like it was at least 18 meters. The body was covered in a black, mangy, oily fur that was matted around its shoulders, and had like a hyena-like mohawk of hair down its spine to the end of the base of its tail. The tail looked rat-like, but also snake-like. I didn’t get a good look at its feet due to the position I was in, but the legs looked very muscular and almost humanoid. The head is what later got me both scared and disgusted at the same time. Its head was about ¼ the length of its body, and its eyes were sunken deep into its skull… excuse me… the eyes are what I always see at night when I go to sleep… its eyes are a deep navy color with no pupils whatsoever. I know it was just a split second, but its eyes felt as though they were about to tear my soul apart just by looking at me. The rest of its head… I… couldn’t really tell what kind of animal it was. It was elongated, malnourished, had two sets of nostrils on each side of its face, and it looked like there was puss smeared over parts of its face. The teeth looked exactly like shark teeth, but out the corner of its mouth were tusks that looked like thick lip rings made of ivory. I hope I don’t see that… thing… again. That abomination is horrifically terrifying beyond reason.”

Lt. Ian ██████ was later found dead in his quarters, hanging from a water line in the ceiling. A note was found tied to his left hand saying, "It can hunt you in your mind! I ended it before it got me!". A rough sketch of his description of RPC-462 was later found in the Lieutenant's sketchbook.

Discovery: RPC-462 was first discovered on a small farm in [REDACTED], Arkansas, USA, floating in a cow pasture aimlessly. MST-Victor-2 was successful at retrieving RPC-462 from the farmland after discovering the mutilated carcasses of the owner and his family. After a massive cleanup of the area, most of the MSTs were keeping watch of their transport for RPC-462. One of the MSTs who was keeping an eye on RPC-462 sneezed, and found out right away how much danger they were possibly in. Underneath RPC-462 were 4 large footprints measuring 2x1.2 meters and 0.3 meters deep in the ground. MST-████ contacted Site Director ███████ from Site-███ about RPC-462 and detailed what they experienced. For a period of time, RPC-462 was classified as a Beta, but after no incidents occurred during its containment, Site Director ███████ reclassified RPC-462 as an Alpha-White until Incident 462-A occurred.

Incident Report-462-2: On 09-29-199█, custodian Valorie ██████ entered the viewing station of RPC-462. ASF personnel watching RPC-462 notices Valorie via reflection in the glass separating them from RPC-462. He tells her she is not permitted to be in the containment zone, but she did not respond. The ASF stands up while watching RPC-462 to confront Valorie, but she then used a lead pipe to knock out the ASF. When the ASF awoke, he testified that while his vision was unfocused he could see RPC-462’s true form [REDACTED] the custodian. When he regained his vision RPC-462 returned to its docile form.
Containment for RPC-462 has been doubled with one extra ASF outside of RPC-462’s containment cell.

Addendum 462-1: After the 462-A Incident, a thorough investigation went underway. How RPC-462 never attacked during its entire time left the investigators puzzled. Three days later one of the investigators discovered there were CCTV cameras at every corner and every room in the whole facility.
Neutralization attempts proved unsuccessful to RPC-462. Ballistics, gas, even high amounts of radiation proved insufficient. No signs of injury were evident during said attempts.
