Containment Protocols

Due to the widespread of RPC-936 instances, and the dangers of their transportation, containment is inadvisable. As such, anomalous containment agencies such as the Authority and Monarch Security1 are to prioritize information quarantine and disinformation campaigns affiliated with RPC-936. Research on the history of RPC-936 instances are to be headed by the Authority's Department of Cryptozoological Studies, and psychical research of instances are to be headed by the Loch Cataloging Corporation's (LCC) Biology Department. Research into physical containment is ongoing.

Due to their special ability, members of the Loch Cataloging Corporation, are to be given unfettered access to RPC-936

RPC-XXX web-crawler 'PLESIOSAUR' is to monitor the internet for any actual information being posted, exact details on what counts as actual information can be requested.

Instances of RPC-936 are to remain in their place of discovery. Said instances are to be individually monitored by separate Authority/MI13 operated satellites with thermal viewing. If any RPC-936 instances become aggressive and leave its place of rest, JST2 Alpha-51 "Maritime Archaeologists" is to be dispatched with tranquilizers.

Should information regarding RPC-936 be leaked, Authority Central Intelligence or Monarch Security is to dismiss said information as a hoax and contain any real evidence of RPC-936. In the case of a civilian spotting an instance of RPC-936, the subject is to be monitored, if deemed a significant threat to secrecy, they are to be taken into custody, questioned, and administered amnestics.

Termination of RPC-936 has been proposed by the Authority, though due to bureaucratic opposition by the LCC, it has been postponed indefinitely.3

Description

RPC-936 is the designation for an anomalous species with the ability to change its psychical appearance, skeletal system, and its brain structure. Currently, most instances of RPC-936, appear to take on the form of that of a Plesiosauria,4 a pre-historic Dinosauria from the late Triassic period. The reasoning for the said form is unknown, as it appears to harm RPC-936's diet and psychical capabilities.5

The ability to transform appears to come from the brain, as separated flesh cannot change. Samples of flesh from RPC-936 show no anomalous properties, besides numerous veins, which appear to be connected to the brain.

Instances in an aquatic body appear to have an average speed of that of 0.4 m/s (1.44 km/h)6 as well as having average speed on land of that of 0.1 m/s (0.36 km/h) on land.

The regularity living place of the RPC-936 are often lakes and rivers, tempering to 6°C - 9°C, with an average depth of 3.2 KM. The exact evolutionary reason for said habitats instead of the open ocean is a subject of research, the leading theory is competitors over food.

The average diet of instances consists of multiple species of common fish, multiple types of plants, and if given the opportunity, smaller aquatic fish and mammals, as well as Homo Sapiens.

The reason for aggressive behavior in instances appears to have no definitive causes, but as humans attacked are often placed into the instances place of living, it is highly likely it is due to lack of food. The way of killing is usually that of biting into the torso of the subject, often splitting the body of the subject in half.

Due to their anomalous properties, geological differences and places of resting, accurate measurements for RPC-936 instances cannot be determined, though the average total length is that of 26 meters (85 feet), with a neck length of 12 meters (39 feet), which contains 42 cervical vertebrae.

Addendum 936.01. Discovery

RPC-936 has been hypothesized to have existed for multiple millennia - the oldest known recorded sighting of what seems to be RPC-936 was written by Adamnán of Iona in the year 565, the following is an excerpt:

The modern finding of RPC-936 which led to the actual discovery was a project set up by the Loch Cataloging Corporation in the year 2003, which took three years. The discovery of multiple specimens was found shortly afterward, after knowledge of the methods used by the LCC spread throughout the anomalous community, following this massive discovery, Monarch Security got involved who subsequently called in the Authority.

Addendum 936.01. Termination Audit, ██/██/████

Following the events outlined at incident 936-6-1, the Department of Cryptozoological Studies prompted propositions for a termination form of all instances related to RPC-936.
