Containment Protocols: RPC-XXX is to be contained in a standard security locker in Site-002. RPC-XXX instances may be used for live testings by personnel with permission from Head Researcher Harold R. Ames. During these testings, Head Researcher Harold Ames is to be present at all times.

If instances of RPC-XXX are discovered, they are to be recovered immediately. However, if the confiscation of a person's RPC-XXX instance may cause public awareness, users of RPC-XXX instances are permitted continuous use of RPC-XXX under Authority supervision.

Description: RPC-XXX refers to a product line of eye contacts manufactured by the Global Enterprise for Advanced Research (GEAR). Each instance of RPC-XXX appears to be preserved in a standard eye contact solution that remains permanently functional, so long as it is regularly kept in said solution. RPC-XXX instances are often packaged in coloured eye contact cases that are equipped with a small circular mirror, and come with a 50-millilitre bottle of the recommended eye contact solution.

RPC-XXX instances alter a subject's personality based on a variety of predictable variables.¹. The trait varies from each instance as there are about 40² different traits that were applied to various instances, with only 21 differing effects in Authority containment. 120 instances have been discovered, with 59 instances neutralized since its initial recovery and 7 instances remaining in possession of civilians³.

The various traits have been divided into four categories, those being occupational, personality, physical, and mental traits. The manifestation of RPC-XXX instances continues when a subject accumulates multiple instances. However, multiple instances used at the same time may cause the subject's aqueous humor⁴ to be coloured the same as RPC-XXX instances. RPC-XXX instances can be recovered even after dehydration by use of standard contact lens solution whilst retaining its anomalous properties. Irreversible damage such as burns, tearing, and dyeing will permanently neutralize RPC-XXX instances' anomalous properties. RPC-XXX's anomalous effects neutralize naturally upon regular use for 10 years.

They can also perform any repairs on a machine if given the proper tools and materials needed. However, the subject would not have knowledge of how to operate modern machinery independently.
Culinary	Tortilla brown	The subject gains knowledge of every culinary dish from every culture and will be aware of how each dish is cooked. The subject will also be able to pick apart any dish they taste and will criticize it when given the opportunity.
Literary	Olive green	The subject gains enhanced imaginative comprehension and literacy skills, as well as capable of writing in any genre for any target audience. The subject's passion for written pieces will increase and will cause them to spend extensive time reading literacy from the past.
Business	Magenta	The subject gains the organization skills to allow them to manage any business. This is the only occupational trait that would alter the subject's personality as it makes the subject persuasive and opportunistic.
Music	Mauve purple	The subject gains the skill and knowledge required for music-related occupations. Subject's voice is capable of singing at any pitch and is capable of writing lyrics and composing instrumentals.
Fashion	Velvet	The subject gains the skill to design clothes to fit any person of any sex, body, or height. The subject will also be able to make clothing or high quality and design. However, the subject will become picky and disgusted if their own clothes do not meet their standards.

Confidence	Peanut brown	The subject becomes confident in themselves, whether in their physical or general abilities. The subject is not aware of their own pride and will not be able to take any negative criticism directed towards them. This however does not alter anything physical, whether or not the subject was previously insecure about certain physical features.
Independent	Sepia tan	The subject becomes competent at working on a project by themselves, often working alone even in a project requiring multiple people. The subject often isolates themselves from loved ones and will refuse to speak of any difficulties that they are experiencing.

Addendum XXX.01: Discovery

The first discovered RPC-XXX instance was discovered on 30/5/2011 when the tears of Japanese Idol singer [REDACTED] was reported to be coloured yellow and red. The Authority took notice of the Japanese talk shows discussing the topic and dispatched a small team to Japan, Hokkaido, to take [REDACTED] into custody for an interview. Agent █████: Well, I'd like to apologize. Just answer the questions we have for you then you can go on your merry way.

Idol: Alright, be quick.

Agent █████: Mhm. So, why were your tears all coloured during that live show?

Idol: Hmph! Are you stupid? Idols always have colourful makeup so it just-

Idol: I would if I remembered. Besides, only talked to them for like a minute or so.

Agent █████: No. Unless you have information that we don't know you're withholding.

Idol: Not really now that I think about it. The contacts I had with that company are dead like they changed it or something.

Agent █████: Well, that's something, I guess. Better than nothing. Alright, see ya.

Results: When CSD-90783 was questioned if she remembered anything from her past life, she relayed the exact details of the day of her birth, which included the time of day, gender and race of the doctors present, as well as which hospital room she was in.

Test: The subject was given the 'Comedian' and 'Innocent' trait lenses and was instructed to apply both on her eyes.

Results: Head Researcher Harold R. Ames gave CSD-90783 the task to tell him a joke about Harold. CSD-90783 struggled for a few seconds then relayed their joke after warning Harold, to which Harold took no offence by, but CSD-90783 apologized profusely soon after.

Notes: "The joke wasn't even that bad, just another ginger joke. I guess that's what happens when certain traits may conflict. I'm curious how the effects feel though. I'll request for a test to be done on me."-Head Researcher Harold R. Ames

Test: The subject was given the 'Processing speed' trait lens and was instructed to apply the eye contacts on his eyes.

Results: A 30-metre long list of random words and information was given to Harold, to which he read through within a minute. After Harold finished reading the list, he was asked to relay all of the information on the list by memory. Harold accomplished this task perfectly, relaying the complete list within 30 seconds.

Notes: "The feeling was surely interesting, a bit jarring though when you take it off. I went from a man who could take in his surrounding in a millisecond to being as slow as an average man. These things could definitely help our personnel, though I am still unsure of its effects during longterm use."-Head Researcher Harold R. Ames

The discovery of his suspected use of RPC-XXX instances was on 06/06/2011 when his eyes were examined to be discoloured magenta and blue during a live talk show. It is theorized that Daniel is possibly using the 'Business' trait lens and either the 'Forgiving' or 'Vision' trait when cross-referencing the similarities of the lens' colours.

Location: USA, Los Angeles

Description: Barnaby Larson Ronny is the author of the horror novel series 'Anomalia'. The discovery of his use of RPC-XXX instances was during a cafe meeting between Barnaby and Agent █████ on 27/06/2011. Barnaby, unaware of Agent █████'s occupation, disclosed to him information of his use of RPC-XXX instances. Agent █████ paid a visit to Barnaby's home when the author showcased to him 5 pairs of RPC-XXX instances that he has purchased before. After his visit, Agent █████ reported to the Authority of the discovery.

When a recovery team was dispatched to Barnaby's home, Barnaby acquiesced three of the five RPC-XXX instances, those being 'Long-term memory', 'Ambitious', and 'Stamina'. When instructed to relinquish the other two RPC-XXX instances, Barnaby refused as the utilized lenses as they are vital to his occupation and continued health. Barnaby claims to be in possession of the 'Literary' and 'Clean organs' trait lenses.

Although Barnaby is in possession of the 'Clean organs' trait lens, he is not knowledgeable of its exact effects on him but understands that it is essential for his survivability. Due to Barnaby's requirement of these RPC-XXX instances for occupational and survivability reasons, the Authority has allowed him to be of the possession of the eye contacts until their expiration date and have put Barnaby under surveillance to prevent further purchasing of RPC-XXX instances.

Gu Kyung-Sam (Confirmed)

Location: South Korean, Busan

Description: Gu Kyung-Sam is an infamous actor who has starred in several drama and horror films. He is known for his affairs with married women and violent encounters with other actors. The discovery of his use of RPC-XXX instances was on 26/08/2012 when local police arrived at an abandoned apartment and intercepted a deal between Gu Kyung-Sam and a 19-year-old Korean boy. Gu Kyung-Sam was attempting to purchase RPC-XXX instances when the local authorities arrived and the seller escaped the area before police could apprehend him.

Gu Kyung-Sam was taken into custody for questioning and the Authority was alerted of the incident by embedded agents. After questioning, Gu Kyung-Sam confessed to be in possession of 2 pairs of RPC-XXX instances, 'Acting' and 'Charismatic' trait. Gu Kyung-Sam's 'Charismatic' trait was confiscated but the Authority could not do the same for his 'Acting' trait as it may cause public confusion. Gu Kyung-Sam is under Authority surveillance to prevent further purchasing of RPC-XXX instances.

Description: Christopher Edward Hansen is an American television journalist known for his work on Dateline NBC. The discovery of his suspected use of RPC-XXX instances was on 29/10/2012 when a fan took a photo of her and the journalist by a park. When the fan posted the photo online, people were quick to point out the orange-yellow discolouration in Christopher's eyes. It is theorized that Christopher is utilizing the 'Long-term memory' lens and the 'Processing speed' lens.

Ariel Johnson (Confirmed)

Location: England, Liverpool

Description: Ariel Johnson is an English talk show host for the television programme 'All Day'. The discovery of her use of RPC-XXX instances was on 30/3/2013 during an interview with an actor known for his roles in drama films and television series. During the showing of a clip from the actor's well-known role in the show 'One, yet apart', Ariel Johnson began to tear up which exposed her RPC-XXX instances due to the red-purple discolouration of her tears. 45 hours after the events that took place during the mentioned live show, Ariel Johnson was recorded on surveillance in [REDACTED] having lunch with a man in business attire.

During their lunch meeting, exchanges began between Ariel and the unidentified man, involving an envelope containing assumingly cash for 5 eye-contact cases. Once the Authority was alerted of these occurrences, a recovery team was dispatched to Ariel's home in [REDACTED]. Once the recovery team arrived, Ariel resisted from allowing personnel from entering her home. After 30 minutes of non-cooperation, Ariel was witnessed by personnel jumping out of her second-floor window from behind her house and climbing over a fence into a neighbour's property. The recovery team was able to apprehend Ariel Johnson after 10 minutes and return her to her home. Ariel was questioned of her use of RPC-XXX instances, to which she confessed to be in possession of 10 instances.

When requested to relinquish her possession of all instances, Ariel proceeded to behave violently towards personnel and attempted to escape again. Present security restrained Ariel in the interview chair after that occurrence as personnel were given orders to go search for the RPC-XXX instances. After 45 minutes of searching, present personnel were able to discover 28 instances of RPC-XXX, 18 being expired and lacking their original label which made identification of its trait difficult. Ariel Johnson was in possession of the 'Business', 'Fashion', 'Outgoing', 'Charismatic', 'Tall', 'Flexibility', 'Long-term memory', 'Mental strength', 'Processing speed', and 'Ambitious'. After some consideration, Ariel Johnson was allowed to retain her possession of the 'Business', 'Outgoing', 'Charismatic', and 'Tall' due to her occupation and certain risks of public attention. Ariel Johnson is under Authority surveillance to prevent her from further purchasing RPC-XXX instances.
