Containment Protocols: The stretch of highway that RPC-XXX is located on is to be permanently shut down, and any traffic attempting to enter the highway is to be turned away. ASF personnel disguised as Kansas State Highway Patrol are to secure RPC-XXX between the hours of 0600 and 1700. No person, civilian or otherwise, is allowed into RPC-XXX between the hours of 1900 and 0400 except during designated testing.
In the event that a subject exits the anomaly, they shall undergo a psychological evaluation, and depending on the circumstance the individual is to be administered amnestics and released.
Description: RPC-XXX is a plot of land centered around a gas station, with a radius of 56 meters, located outside of ██████, Kansas.
RPC-XXX will activate between the hours of 1900 and 0400. If an individual, henceforth referred to as "the subject," enters RPC-XXX during its hours of activation, the subject is transported to RPC-XXX-A.
Any attempt to leave RPC-XXX-A will result in the subject entering an iteration. Further attempts to leave will have similar results.
RPC-XXX-A is a dimension that comprises a seemingly infinite number of iterations, each made of a zone identical to RPC-XXX. Each iteration is unique in some manner, with differences ranging from the inconspicuous and benign to the obvious and malevolent.
RPC-XXX-A appears identical to RPC-XXX upon initial entry, except with a lack of any moon or celestial objects; RPC-XXX-A is illuminated solely by the dim, flickering lights of the gas station itself. The dimension exists in a state of perpetual midnight, the passage of time having no effect on environmental conditions.
The further into RPC-XXX-A the subject travels, the more noticeable and abundant the differences become. Trace amounts of radiation are detectable immediately upon entry, increasing gradually the deeper the subject goes.
If a subject remains within a particular instance for an extended length of time1, an instance of RPC-XXX-1 will manifest.
RPC-XXX-1 is an entity that varies in appearance. It will never leave the vicinity of the gas station. It will assume a form that varies based on the subject within RPC-XXX-A; taking the form of a person or object that the subject finds distressing. Certain forms of RPC-XXX-1 are capable of communicating with the subject.. Forms that can vocalize are heard only by the subject and cannot be captured by recording devices.
The only known way to leave RPC-XXX-A is through interaction with RPC-XXX-1; the nature of this interaction varies based on its form. Following this interaction, the subject is transported back into the restroom of the gas station in baseline reality.
Discovery: On 03/12/95, Authority personnel embedded within the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations were alerted to an anomalous individual reported by the ██████ Police Department. Said personnel were dispatched to the town, where the individual was discovered leaving the home of a ██████ city residence. The individual was apprehended and interviewed following a psychological evaluation.
Following this interview, the anomaly was secured and current containment procedures esablished.

Following Log-RPC-XXX-004, three more drone expeditions took place. Two of the three drones reached Iteration 486, all reporting it to be identical. Both drones then reached iteration 487 and, despite radiation shielding, both failed. All disposable personnel were recovered uneventfully.
Incident-RPC-XXX-1: On 01/05/97, MST SSGT █████, stationed as part of the RPC-XXX security team, was caught inside of RPC-XXX when it activated. SSGT █████ was equipped with a concealed body camera, with both audio and visual recording.
