Containment Protocols: RPC-XXX is contained within the ADI1 wing of Site-015's Physics Department. RPC-X is sealed within a completely opaque envelope bearing RPC Hazard iconography, locked in ADI Safe #437.

As of 14/6/1959, RPC-XXX has been reclassified as Neutralized.

Description: RPC-X is a complex series of esoteric mathematical problems and incomplete proofs inscribed upon an otherwise mundane piece of white letter paper measuring approximately 8.5 x 11 inches long.

RPC-XXX was recovered in 1947 by an Authority researcher embedded in an archaeological expedition set to excavate a number of tombs recently uncovered in the Egyptian "Valley of the Kings". Upon finding RPC-XXX, said researcher recognized the anachronistic nature of the item and reported it immediately. The Authority recovered the item and placed it in ADI storage soon after initial observations and RPC designation, where it remained until May 26, 1959.

Subjects exposed to the equations inscribed upon RPC-X will begin to exhibit manic symptoms such as insomnia, hyperactivity, and vastly degraded temporal sensitivity, all related to a developing obsession with solving RPC-X. At this point it should be noted that symptomatic progression is directly proportional to the amount of progress a given test subject can make in solving RPC-X; effectively limiting the worst of its effects to those with substantial mathematical knowledge.

Over the course of one week following exposure, the cognitive effect of RPC-X will worsen, and within twelve days subjects will begin to present symptoms of acute schizophrenia including auditory hallucinations and clinical paranoia. It is not uncommon for subjects in this state to request exclusive access to RPC-X, citing concerns of "intellectual sabotage" or theft of the item. A single dose of low-grade amnestics is effective at treating the cognitive effects of RPC-X, as are other methods focused on targeting the subject's ability to recall the equations inscribed upon it.

Subjects persons retain a perfect photographic memory of the equation, recalling the page accurately for up to twenty days after exposure or until anti-memetic treatment.

Despite the attention and subsequent infatuation of many of the Authority's finest academics, the equation remains unsolved.

On 14 June 1959, Dr. █████ successfully solved RPC-XXX in his personal study. Upon completion, RPC-XXX disintegrated and Dr. █████ ███ ███████████ ████ ██ ████-███████████ ██████ ██ ███ █████ █████ ███ ████████████, now designated RPC-YYY.
