Containment Protocols: RPC-XXX is to be kept in a powered off, but fully charged, state except during testing. RPC-XXX's battery charge must be checked on a daily basis, as doing so lacks adverse effects. This can be done by any Authority staff member of level 2 or higher. RPC-XXX is not to have its lens pointed in the direction of a sapient being except during testing.
Following testing, RPC-XXX-A and RPC-XXX-B instances are to be heavily monitored. Any commands issued to these individuals prior to recovery must be pertaining to experimentation. Any abuse of their suggestibility will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
During testing of RPC-XXX, MST X-Ray-6 "Annulifiers" are to monitor the social media of the individual being tested, as well as seek out newly created accounts using the identity of the test subject. Should any instances of RPC-XXX-C be discovered, it must be recorded before being expunged. If the instance of RPC-XXX-C has obtained upwards of 1,000 views before its discovery, Protocol XXX-3 "Vaporware" should be enacted.
RPC-XXX viewed from behind.
Description: RPC-XXX is a full-frame mirrorless photography camera. Any subject that has RPC-XXX's lens directed at them will enter a complicit state. Subjects that enter this state are designated as RPC-XXX-A. While in this state RPC-XXX-A instances are highly suggestable, especially regarding changing their outfit. While RPC-XXX-A instances retain their personality, they will not refuse to put on any outfits provided to them, even if their make or design would go against their usual preferences. RPC-XXX-A instances will only refuse provided outfits that would cause physical harm or extreme discomfort.
Once the instance of RPC-XXX-A has put on its provided outfit, it will often claim to be "ready to begin the shoot" and will wait for instructions. The individual will then take on any pose requested of them, with no objection to its promiscuity or even possibility. Should the pose requested be physically impossible for the individual to perform the RPC-XXX-A will refuse to take on the pose, instead taking on a similar but possible one.
If the shutter button on RPC-XXX is pressed, it functions as a standard non-anomalous camera. However, if a photograph is taken of an RPC-XXX-A instance, the subject will enter an acute state of delirium, exhibiting altered brain function similar to heavy sedation. This state renders RPC-XXX-A highly suggestible. Any verbal command issued while keeping the instance within the camera's viewfinder frame will be executed precisely. Should an impossible or self-damaging task or pose be commanded the RPC-XXX-A instance will resort to self-harm to fulfill it, including but not limited to: dislocation of joints, tearing of skin, and minor fractures to relevant bone structures.
Should there be 10 photos taken of a given RPC-XXX-A instance, The 11th picture taken of a given RPC-XXX-A instance, whether it was previously active or not, will have its camera flash on. The flash of this particular photo will exceed that of 200,000 Lumens, temporarily blinding all subjects. While heavily disorienting, this does not result in any lasting ocular damage with no exception to proximity. During this time, the RPC-XXX-A instance's form, including its outfit, will be temporarily altered in varying ways. RPC-XXX-A instances that undergo these changes are referred to as RPC-XXX-B.
RPC-XXX-B instances are visually altered to be similar, though not identical, to existing Kabushiki Kawaii products. These changes are often noted as being more provocative and attractive than the actual product. All changes to RPC-XXX-B's physical appearance are superficial, with no bearing on its internal anatomy. The form that RPC-XXX-B takes seems to be entirely random.
| Test Subject |
Likeness Obtained |
Outfit Changes |
Other Changes |
| CSD-139-84 |
RPC-614 |
Outfit altered from standard CSD uniform to black-and-white French maid outfit. |
Subject formed a tail and ears resembling that of Felis catus. Upon request, it was able to angle both the ears and tail separately and hold them still enough for another photo to be taken. |
| CSD-139-84 |
RPC-319 |
Outfit altered from standard CSD uniform to sheer latex bodysuit, as well as an exaggerated bulge in their pelvic region. |
Facial structure altered to give the subject's face a similar structure to that of RPC-319 including loss of hair. Following testing, CSD-139-84's hair anomalously grew back over the course of recovery including the styling it had been in prior to testing. |
| CSD-139-84 |
RPC-644 |
Outfit altered from standard CSD uniform to a black bikini two sizes smaller than would be recommended for CSD-139-84's personal body type. |
Subject's skin, aside from atop the cranium, is noted as becoming entirely hairless. Fingernails and teeth noted to be naturally glossier and manicured than before. |
| Harley Henderson |
RPC-439 |
Description taken from recovered photos. Outfit changed from standard maintenance uniform to straight jacket and tight sweatpants riddled with tears and rips. The straight jacket was undone, with its sleeves slightly shortened and an opening at the sternum revealing the top of the subject's pectorals. Slacks were tighter, accentuating the subject's physical form. |
Subject's eye color was shifted red, with a notable red glowing glare recovered in the photos. It is unknown if this glare was present in person. |
| CSD-139-84 |
RPC-425 |
Outfit altered from standard CSD uniform to an outfit resembling RPC-425-2's apparel when performing. |
No physical alterations present. |
| CSD-139-84 |
Unknown Anomaly |
Outfit altered from standard CSD uniform to lace lingerie set and facial muzzle. |
Body structure altered to resemble a humanoid Canis lupis including full-body hair growth with a gray coloration, a lengthened jaw in the form of a canine snout, altered eyes, etc. Following testing, CSD-139-84 underwent a period of rapid shedding, resulting in a minor skin infection. |
After approximately 20 minutes following the shutter button's last pressing, any social media pages belonging to RPC-XXX-A/B will have the photos taken by RPC-XXX uploaded. If the account in question is set to private, it will automatically set to public. Posts will also be promoted via the website's promotion features if applicable. Lastly, all photos posted of an RPC-XXX-B instance will have a watermark depicting the Kabushiki Kawaii logo. This event, designated RPC-XXX-C, is not limited by bandwidth or connectivity, posting the images in spite of even high level communications jamming. These social media posts, while overall harmless, can lead to a disruption of the veil.
After a RPC-XXX-C event, the RPC-XXX-A instance will continue to be suggestible, reverting to stage one. Approximately twelve hours later, with a variance of about five hours, the RPC-XXX-A instance will return to normal behavior, with little memory of events during stage one, and no memories of events during stage two. An RPC-XXX-B instance will have a much longer recovery time, reverting back to an RPC-XXX-A instance first over five hours with a variance of an hour and a half, before the regular recovery time is initiated.
Discovery: Between the dates of 6/28/2026 and 7/1/2026, Authority web crawlers detected a heightened number of online searches involving Kabushiki Kawaii. This included phrases such as "kawaii catgirl cosplay", "what logo did @█████████████ use in recent post", and "kabushiki catgirl maid outfit where to buy". Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a popular "erotic cosplay" content creator "@█████████████", referred to as POI-1939-XXX hereafter, had posted a series of photos to their various social medias that had been branded with a Kabushiki Kawaii logo. By the time the Authority became aware of these posts, the number of views numbered in the tens of thousands.
After an interview with POI-1939-XXX, and a brief correspondence with their manager, the Authority had narrowed down the location of the original photoshoot to three potential sites across the various districts of Tokyo, Japan. RPC-XXX was discovered and confiscated in the second location of interest. At the time of the raid, an instance of RPC-XXX-B was discovered dressed as an instance of RPC-614 and was terminated on-sight.

At approximately 2035, within the Anomalous Objects storage wing, Guillermo Rojas and Harley Henderson had been performing regular checks on the units surrounding and including RPC-XXX. As part of their duties, Mister Rojas proceeded to check the battery charge of RPC-XXX. It was at this point Mister Rojas decided to subject Mister Henderson to a hazing prank.
After picking up RPC-XXX he pointed it at Mister Henderson and quickly snapped a picture. He then proceeded to take another ten photos, triggering RPC-XXX's flash function. Mister Henderson, then an instance of RPC-XXX-B, was described dressed in an outfit resembling a straight jacket. Mister Rojas proceeded to take another eight photos before he was discovered by another member of maintenance and reported. Mister Rojas was then detained and sent to interrogation. Mister Henderson was sent to receive medical treatment for minor fractures in his left tibia, a dislocated shoulder, and a minor strain in his ACL muscle.
Interviewed: Guillermo Rojas, Maintenance Crew Shift Lead (Former)
Interviewer: Nicolas Mares, Department of Internal Investigations
Foreword: The following is the interrogation of Guillermo Rojas, following his inappropriate usage of RPC-XXX. Translated from Latin American Spanish, Mr. Rojas' preferred language.
Mares: You understand the severity of this situation, Mister Rojas?
Rojas: I-It wasn't harmful was it?
Mares: Your subordinate is in the medical wing with physical injuries, in a mental state similar to that of a living mannequin. It was quite harmful. Tell me, what specifically did your instructions related to RPC-XXX entail?
Rojas: Well it said not to-
Mares: I'm looking for the exact wording, Mister Rojas.
Rojas: <Mister Rojas is quiet for just short of six seconds.> Ah- RPC-XXX's battery charge must be checked on a daily basis, as doing so lacks adverse effects.
Mares: There's one more line that is important here, isn't there?
Rojas: … That Maintenance management is supposed to check it?
Mares: <Stands, slams the table, and shouts.> Quote, "RPC-XXX is not to have its lens pointed in the direction of a sapient being except during testing." Unquote.
Rojas: <Audible yelp and recoil.>
Mares: <Clears throat> Doing so takes away the individual's right of self determination. One of the Hazard Types attached to RPC-XXX's file is that of Mind Control, yes Mister Rojas?
Rojas: <Nods.>
Mares: Yes?
Rojas: Yes…
Mares: What you did was a violation of our code of conduct.
Rojas: … Yes…
Mares: Why would you feel the need to do such a thing?
Rojas: I-I-It was just a prank!
Mares: Pranks are harmless. You knew what that object is capable of.
Rojas: I just wanted to pull a joke on the kid, I didn't think-
Mares: That much is obvious. You know his mother saw those photos? Most of his family.
Rojas: <Sighs.>
Mares: I'm placing you on temporary suspension without pay. Though I wouldn't get your hopes up on keeping your job.
Rojas: <In a dejected tone.>… Yes sir…
Guillermo Rojas was swiftly relieved from his position as shift lead. While he was not outright terminated, Mister Rojas was demoted and relocated to
Site-015, where he acts as a custodian for the site's front cover.
