Registered Phenomena Code: XXX
Object Class: Gamma-Yellow
Hazard Types: Radiation Hazard, Transmutation Hazard
Containment Protocols: RPC-XXX-1 is currently owned by an Authority front company. OL-Site-XXX has been constructed for containment and observation. The property has been surrounded by a chain link fence with barbed wire installed on the top, and all but one entrance to RPC-XXX-1 have been welded shut. The remaining entrance is to be secured by a standard padlock, with the current Head Researcher to keep the key on his or her person at all times. Staff at OL-Site-XXX are to monitor for trespassers; any person caught on the site of RPC-XXX is to be apprehended, interrogated, and amnesticized as necessary.
Staff stationed at OL-Site-XXX are to be rotated once every two months in order to reduce exposure to RPC-XXX-2's anomalous effects. No personnel rotated from OL-Site-XXX can be reassigned there before at least one year. Entry into RPC-XXX-1 is forbidden without the approval of at least two Level 4 personnel stationed at OL-Site-XXX. All testing with RPC-XXX-2 has been halted indefinitely.
Description: RPC-XXX-1 is the former Three Rivers Shopping Center located in the town of [REDACTED], Canada. RPC-XXX-1 was constructed in 1987 and operated as normal until 2005, when its parent corporation filed for bankruptcy and unsuccessfully attempted to sell the property; it is unknown when RPC-XXX-2 manifested within the building.
RPC-XXX-2 is an area taking up roughly 70% of RPC-XXX-1's atrium which photons and electromagnetic waves are unable to enter. RPC-XXX-2 therefore appears as a black void suspended in midair. Objects which enter RPC-XXX have not been observed to exit; however, RPC-XXX-2 has been observed to release bursts of radiation within minutes of objects entering. Despite its construction theoretically not allowing for it, RPC-XXX-1 is able to act as a shield and Geiger counters outside have not detected radiation outside of its walls.
RPC-XXX-2 appears to exhibit a mind-altering effect on persons who are aware of it and remain in its general area for extended periods. Persons affected by RPC-XXX have reported perceiving it as emitting a low humming sound; this has not been detected by electronic recording equipment. Personnel stationed at OL-Site-XXX for extended periods have also reported hearing voices but none have been able to identify understandable communications. All people affected by RPC-XXX-2 have reported desires of varying intensity to enter it. This desire typically increases over time.

OL-Site-XXX on lock down, POI apprehended for interrogation |
Three unidentified persons (two male, one female) breached OL-Site-XXX. After entering the site, persons entered RPC-XXX-1 and made their way to the atrium and interacted with RPC-XXX-2, resulting in two deaths and the release of radiation; personnel apprehended third person before evacuating RPC-XXX-1.
~0805: Three persons breached OL-Site-XXX's perimeter by cutting through the fence with wire cutters.
0807: Intruders use pliers to cut chain and padlock securing entrance to RPC-XXX-1; at this moment, security personnel notice and begin to respond to the breach. After entering, intruders place a broomstick through door handles as a crude barricade.
0808: Intruders make their way to RPC-XXX's atrium. Security footage indicates that after first sighting of RPC-XXX-1, two (Unidentified Male #1 and Unidentified Female) fall to their knees and appear to begin praying; the third (Unidentified Male #2) quickly forces them to their feet and pushes them in the direction of the stairs to the second floor. On-site security break barricade and begin pursuit.
0809: Intruders reach second floor, moving to the area overlooking RPC-XXX-2. Unidentified Male #2 places a hand on each of his accomplices' foreheads; as security reaches the second floor, Unidentified Male #1 climbs over wall and jumps into RPC-XXX.
0810: Security personnel restrain Unidentified Male #2 and attempt to restrain unidentified female as she climbs over wall; attempt is unsuccessful, but unbalances Unidentified Female as she attempts to leap, resulting in her missing RPC-XXX-2 and falling to the floor. Unidentified female suffers fatal internal trauma and bone fractures, including to her skull. Despite injuries, unidentified female attempts to drag herself to RPC-XXX-2 before apparently losing consciousness. Personnel evacuate RPC-XXX-2 with Unidentified Male #2 before RPC-XXX-2 begins emitting radiation.
Personnel Casualties:
Assets Compromised:
- Site Infrastructure:
- Chain link fence: Damaged
- Padlock: Damaged
The unidentified intruders were able to evade security personnel during a shift change, suggesting that they had been spying on OL-Site-XXX for some time prior to Incident XXX-18. OL-Site-XXX Security Officer ███████ suggests increasing surveillance around site to monitor for potential stakeouts by intruders, along with changes to OL-Site-XXX's duty schedule. Containment personnel plan to replace chain link fence and padlock with stronger alternatives; proposals for an electrified fence were denied as such measures were deemed unnecessary, and raised the possibility that the discovery of an electrified fence around an ostensibly abandoned building would bring unwanted attention to RPC-XXX.
The behavior of the intruders indicates a prior knowledge of RPC-XXX-2, possibly suggesting connections with a larger, thus far unidentified Group of Interest. Unidentified Male #2 was moved to Site-███ for debriefing.
Interviewed: "John Black" - POI captured during Incident XXX-18.
Interviewer: Agent Wells
Foreword: POI "John Black" was captured during Incident XXX-18. Though the subject refused to give information on his background during initial interview (See Interview XXX-4), a rental car was found nearby registered under his alias and materials recovered from the car and the person of Unidentified Female suggested the three intruders had been members of "The Church of the Blessed Oblivion," a Nihil-Adjacent group known to be operating in Alaska, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. In this interview, Agent Wells confronted the subject with this information.
