RPC-267, currently located in █████████, North Carolina.

Registered Phenomena Code: 267

Object Class: Beta-Red

Hazard Types: Aggression Hazard, Regenerative Hazard, Sentient Hazard, Transmutation Hazard, Visual Hazard, Mind Control Hazard, Newtonian Hazard

Containment Protocols: Exterior of RPC-267 is to be monitored at all times. Personnel located within RPC-267 are strongly advised to not attempt to escape via means that involve creating any structural damage to the building's walls, front entrance, or windows.

Description: RPC-267 designates an anomalous suburban household residing in Macon, Georgia (See addendum 267-1) Dillsboro, North Carolina. RPC-267 is inhabited by an unknown number of American house cats, estimated to be in the thousands. Testing has revealed no anomalous properties, though the source of the house cats is currently unknown. When RPC-267 experiences structural damage that allows natural sunlight to shine into its interior or has any of its windows broken, RPC-267 will seem to instantaneously transport itself to a new location with all structural damage repaired.

Any damage done to the front door to RPC-267 will produce the same result, though this is not consistent with doors located within its interior. RPC-267 will typically transport itself in place of foreclosed businesses, abandoned buildings, empty households not having any human beings residing in them, and rarely in isolated areas secluded by geography or thick flora. During transportation, RPC-267 will leave behind no trace of its existence, and all replaced buildings or flora that may have been removed by its presence will be restored to their original state prior to RPC-267's appearance. During the transportation process, the layout of RPC-267's interior will shift dramatically at random. Fates of personnel trapped within RPC-267 during its transportation are currently unknown. Recovery of personnel located inside of RPC-267 is possible, yet highly improbable. All unauthorized and/or non-essential personnel inside RPC-267 during the transportation phase are to be considered KIA. RPC-267's interior is seemingly infinite in size with no calculated size. The layout of RPC-267 is seemingly random and nonsensical to the point where several rooms serve no functional purpose, or even being impossible to traverse through non-destructive means. Footage captured within RPC-267 during transportation events show no obvious changes in layout until the current room the subject is located in is exited.

RPC-267's interior is not visible from the exterior of the building, with the front entrance being the only exception. Attempts to view RPC-267's interior from the windows or chimney will result in failure, with those attempting to peer inside only seeing pitch black darkness. Attempts to view the outside world from RPC-256's interior will have the same result. Several subjects that have attempted to look through RPC-256's windows have generally described it as 'looking into a universe without stars', or 'staring into the void'.

Sense of hearing is heavily impaired within RPC-267, with sounds below 90 decibels being nearly impossible to hear. Hearing clearly is only possible when in direct eye contact with the source of a noise, such as another human or a radio. This makes communication within RPC-267 difficult, and requires extensive training. Under no circumstances are any personnel to enter RPC-267 unless approved by Level 3 personnel or higher.

Upon entering RPC-267, subjects will be unable to leave without a key, designated RPC-267-1. RPC-267-1 is a luminous, ornate purple key of 18th century Victorian design. Instances of RPC-267-1 seem to faintly produce purple light through unknown means. Any attempt to leave RPC-256 without acquiring RPC-267-1 will be met with failure, as subjects will find the door to be locked. Upon unlocking the front entrance, RPC-267-1 will disintegrate into a material structurally consistent with granite and purple food coloring. No other anomalous traits have been found within instances of RPC-267-1

Instances of RPC-267-1 are only accessible through RPC-267-2, which designates an anomalous elderly woman, seemingly in her sixties. Any appearance of RPC-267-2 within RPC-267 is to be immediately terminated by RPC-267-2 demonstrates the ability of local teleportation within RPC-267, as she will commonly be witnessed disappearing behind walls with no clear path that RPC-267-2 could have taken. RPC-267-2 has shown to be affected by RPC-267's auditory muffling. RPC-267-2 has shown to be hostile towards humans located within RPC-267, though it will not always act on this hostility immediately. RPC-267-2 will typically appear docile and friendly, commonly asking questions regarding a subject's basic personal information, followed by an invitation to join it for dinner or to perform a random task, such as cleaning, inviting other people into RPC-267, feeding the house cats, etc.

Upon completion of a task or being given a task that requires exiting RPC-267 that does not involve consuming any food prepared by RPC-267-2, RPC-267-2 will give the subject an instance of RPC-267-1. Termination of RPC-267-2 is a viable method of acquiring the purple key, as it will always be found on its person. RPC-267-2 is easily terminated via gunfire, and has shown to be the only encountered instance of RPC-267-2 as it will commonly show torn clothing and scarred flesh where personnel have attacked it previously, though it seemingly retains no memory of such termination.

Upon consuming any amount of material from a meal prepared by RPC-267-2, subjects will fall into a comatose state lasting between 12 hours and ██ days depending on the amount of food consumed. Upon entering a comatose state, RPC-267-2 will drag subjects into a kitchen where they will be terminated by RPC-267-2 before being dismembered and used as an ingredient in its food. Retrieval of food prepared by RPC-267-2 has confirmed large amounts of human DNA.
