Containment Protocols: RPC-███ is to be contained in a reinforced containment chamber at Site-088. Staff are prohibited from interacting directly with the entity (see Addendum-███-02). Testing requires authorization from two Level 4 researchers.
In case RPC-███ leaves its containment chamber, staff must avoid entering its line of sight, put an opaque fabric bag on RPC-███’s head, and take it back to its containment. If RPC-███ activates, those being targeted must hide from RPC-███ immediately; if RPC-███ manages to catch them and proceeds with transforming the subject, the remains must be photographed for record-keeping, disposed of in a crematory oven, and the next-of-kin notified of the staff member’s passing, with an appropriate cover story for cause of death.
Description: RPC-███ is an augmented male humanoid, 1.93 meters in height and weighing 125 kilograms, composed of bronze clockwork gears. The human components have been sourced from a 'Gustav Schneider', a tailor from 19th-century Prussia, dressed to evoke the image of an early 1800s Maßschneider and carrying a leather bag. RPC-███’s left eye emits a constant glow, which it uses to illuminate dark areas. RPC-███'s mouth is sewn with a thick black thread. Protruding from RPC-███’s back is a winding key of 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide; this key slowly rotates, producing engine-like grinding and ticking sounds.
Unless active, RPC-███ does not display aggressive behaviour. RPC-███ becomes active once it visually detects a subject within a range of 45 meters. Upon activation, RPC-███ will pursue the victim two minutes after initial sighting, reaching up to 20 km/h and stumbling toward its target. If RPC-███ loses line of sight with the victim, it will cease pursuit and instead ambulate within its general movement area for a time span that can vary before returning to a dormant state.
When activated, RPC-███ will follow the victim with its functional eye, attempting to maintain visual contact. Previous scans have shown that RPC-███ has a metallic articulation on its waist that helps it to fully rotate its upper body 360° degrees to maintain eye contact with the victim. The same scans also show mechanical organ replacements, including the heart, sternum, right hand, and blood vessels. RPC-███’s right appendage consists of a giant rusty vintage sewing needle.
On both sides of RPC-███’s neck, two tubes can be seen transporting a thick, reddish liquid composed of 70% pig blood and the remaining 12% arsenic, 10% formaldehyde, and 8% of an unidentified chemical compound.
If RPC-███ manages to catch the victim, it will proceed to stab the victim with the sewing needle in the abdomen and drag it to the nearest table or large bare surface if none are available. Through unknown means, RPC-███ will materialize thick fabrics from its bag to sew onto the victim's body after removing their previous garments. Once finalized, it will have finished attaching a high-quality dress suit or hoopskirted dress (gender-dependent) onto their skin. Afterward, RPC-███ will start aimlessly patrolling the area or cease any movement.
Testing on the fabric sewn onto RPC-███’s victims' bodies, depending on the colour, these fabric dyes can contain high concentrations of:
- Lead
- Mercury
- Arsenic
- Chromium
Discovery: RPC-███ was found on 03/05/1970 in a hidden basement in an old edifice in Dresden, East Germany. Diverse missing person reports in the area flagged the attention of the Authority.
The basement was equipped with dusty, vintage sewing equipment. The entity was standing facing a corner and didn’t react to vocal demands. ASF personnel found notes, diverse old, dusty mannequins with clothing from their designated gender that resembled aristocratic high-end fashion, and the remains of the missing people in different states of decomposition.
ASF personnel attempted to approach RPC-███ after hearing grinding and ticking noises coming from it; the entity didn’t respond to stimuli until ASF-███ physically turned RPC-███ to face him, and as visual contact was made, RPC-███ began moving with a fast, limping gait towards ASF-███, who fired at the entity without significant effect. RPC-███ stabbed ASF-███ in the abdomen and dragged him towards a cutting table. Other members of the ASF team attempted to save ASF-███ from RPC-███ but were unsuccessful in this endeavour after RPC-███ tried attacking them as well. RPC-███ was successful in removing ASF-███’s uniform and sewing a gentleman’s suit directly onto his skin, which would prove fatal. When finished, RPC-███ returned to a dormant state. The remaining ASF personnel suffered from tiny scratches and cuts from the needle on their faces, hands, and clothing.
RPC-███ was later contained after a bag was placed over its head to cover the glowing eye and prevent it from activating its aggressive behaviour. RPC-███ was later taken to Site-088 with no further incidents.
Addendum:
Notable retrieved materials from the basement RPC-███ were found to include:
Unsent letter drafts from an anonymous seamstress.
Letter from the husband's woman who requested her own personal tailor.
Sketches of what looks like RPC-███'s early concept and first final design.
Consent letter from Gustav Schneider.
Rushed note from an anonymous writer.
Foreword: Unsent letter drafts from an anonymous seamstress; the name has been smudged by the extensive damage that was found on the paper. These letters were translated from German to English.

Dear Anna,
Yesterday I finally managed to get a job, as commented before; I will be staying on the outskirts of Dresden from now on. My new cottage is lovely; I long for the day you visit. I promise to make the Franzbrötchen you love so much. My new boss is a strict but fair man; the first day was hard. Sir Gustav made me work from six in the morning until eight at night for 20 thalers a week; that is better than any other tailoring shop in the town. They just offered 8 thalers a week; it is not that bad, I suppose.
I will not have much free time to write, but I will do my best to keep in touch.
With love, ██████.

Dear Anna,
Work has been going well, and yes, I've been having enough sleep. Things are going well; the tailoring shop is always busy. We have this usual client, Madam Luise; she is married to one of the richest men of the province, and she comes by at least once every 2 weeks for new dresses. She always picks the most expensive fabric, to the unadulterated glee of Mr. Gustav. The only downside is that she expects us to perform magic and deliver these intricate designs in just a few days time. Sir Gustav already told her plenty of times that she needs to be more patient, after which she waves his concerns away; perhaps he should be more firm!
I’m quite glad you visited; the other ladies of the shop are still chirping about you! I hope you can visit me again in the summer; we could have a lovely reunion with the ladies.
With love, ██████

Dear Anna,
Things are not going so well. Sir Gustav had an accident with a pair of steel shears and lost his right hand; gossip goes through the town like a plague. The doctors could not do anything. He was gone for at least 2 months and tried to come back today, but his wife came for him, as he hasn’t fully recovered yet. He is quieter, more reserved, which is quite a departure from his old self. His wife came by the shop the other day; she looked very tired and said he is not doing well. Some of the people say he won’t be able to make clothes again.
Madam Luise came back yesterday with 3 different designs; she says our shop is the only one that makes her orders fast enough and that she is a loyal client of Sir Gustav. I hope he recovers soon.
With love, ██████
October 14th 1821
Dear Anna,
A few days ago, a man came by; he made me feel rather uneasy. He was looking for Sir Gustav. Sir Gustav does not speak to us as often as before; he is now always in his office. Lady Wilhemine told us in whispers that the man was a supposed inventor, focused on machinery for the less fortunate. She said those who accepted his help received “unnatural” treatment and that many were found maimed beyond recognition. A rather ghastly rumour; the ones Lady Wilhemine loved to tell to the more impressionable girls.
When Sir Gustav came out of his office with that man, he looked more animated than ever, maybe even more than before his accident. He told us something vague about winning back his status as a reputable high-end tailor; the ladies did not look that excited, and Lady Wilhemine looked very grim. Right now we can just hope for the best; for now I am fine. I promise to keep you updated if something happens.
With love, ██████

Estimed ██████,
Thank you for answering my letter so soon. My wife Luise has been desperately looking for a tailor as good as Sir Gustav; She has visited every tailor in the region, and none were able to equate her prior arrangements with Sir Gustav. If what I heard about your work is true, I believe you can make it happen. Of course, I am willing to pay a good price for such an item. If you can avoid him speaking and complaining, that would also be marvelous, and it would mean the world to my Luise. Please write to my accountant, █████████ ████████████ , the desired price, and it will be sorted in the closest delay.
With good regards, Albrecht Von Lehmann.

Estimated ██████,
After having had some time to consider your offer, I have decided to accept. Following the accident, the business kept existing only thanks to Madam Luise; if what you say is possible, that I will be able to make the finest of clothes in such a short time, instead of the weeks and months of my competitors, and the price would just be my voice, my shop will become the most popular in the German Confederation! I simply need the date for the procedure, and I will be there.
With regards, Gustav Schneider.

██████ 1821
Something went wrong, terribly wrong; that mad man did something to Sir Gustav. He does not look human anymore. 3 of the ladies are now dead for his designs. Lady Wilhemine tried speaking to him, but he did not recognize her anymore; he stabbed her stomach and dragged her to one of our work tables to sew clothing on her. The dress was ready in what looked like minutes. That man is dead. Sir Gustav attacked him after Lady Wilhemine. We're trapped here with him; I can hear the ticking sound getting near. I do not know wha…….

Experiment-███-003
Conducted by: █████ ████
Date: 07/06/1970
Materials: RPC-███, Labrador Retriever (1)
Objective: Discover if RPC-███ will attack non-human living forms.
A dog was placed within RPC-███’s containment chamber. The dog approached RPC-███ and sat down near the entity. After 15 minutes, RPC-███ turned its head and began looking at the dog. RPC-███ maintained visual contact with it for 4 minutes before proceeding to wander around the containment chamber, ignoring the dog.
Afterword: The test conclusions showed that RPC-███ only shows aggression towards human beings; further testing would be needed to confirm.
Experiment-███-02
Conducted by: █████ ████
Date: 28/06/1970
Materials: RPC-███, CSD-6893 (male).
Objective: Observe the reaction of RPC-███ with a healthy human male.
CSD-6893 was placed in RPC-███'s containment chamber. RPC-███ showed no reaction. 2 minutes after CSD-6893’s entrance, RPC-███ turned its torso to look at him. Once the light of RPC-███’s left eye reached CSD-6893, RPC-███ rotated its whole body and proceeded to attempt reaching for CSD-6893, who began to express great apprehension and requested to be removed from the test chamber. RPC-███ reached from behind and stabbed CSD-6893 through the abdomen; RPC-███ then proceeded to drag CSD-6893 to an open spot on the floor, retrieved vintage fabrics from its leather bag, and proceeded to forcefully remove CSD-6893's jumpsuit, cut the retrieved fabric, and sow it to CSD-6893’s body, which proved to be fatal. After RPC-███ finished sewing the suit, it went back to wander around the containment chamber for 15 minutes until it ceased activity.
ASF personnel recovered CSD-6893's body for examination and autopsy.
Afterword: CSD-6893 showed consistent injuries, similar to the ones on ASF-███. The suit sewn on CSD-6893 was a Tailcoat with neckwear and breeches. In further analysis, the fabric showed traces of mercury and dust.
Experiment-███-03
Conducted by: █████ ████
Date: 09/07/1970
Materials: RPC-███, CSD-4876 (female).
Objective: Observe how RPC-███ reacts when RPC-███-A gets away from its sight.
CSD-4876 was placed in a test chamber designed to facilitate evading RPC-███ while in its active state. Staff informed CSD-4876 that she needed RPC-███ to visualize her and then attempt to hide from it.
RPC-███ was then placed in the test chamber and quickly made visual contact with CSD-4876. RPC-███ proceeded to chase CSD-4876, limping behind her. CSD-4876 broke line-of-sight with RPC-███ and hid inside a marked box. RPC-███ was observed rotating its waist, looking for CSD-4678. After 2 minutes of investigation, RPC-███ wandered for the next 4 hours before stopping. CSD-4876 was removed from the test chamber without injury.
Afterword: This test proved RPC-███ does not have critical thinking or long-term memory. RPC-███ was back in its containment chamber after it stopped wandering.
